“Three Surprising Ways the NDIS Can Support You”

Did you know the NDIS can support you in more ways than you might think?

💜 Specialised driver training (with adapted vehicle) or advanced mobility training
The NDIS can fund driver training with a specialised instructor and adapted equipment if your disability impacts your ability to drive safely or independently.

🩷 Assistive technology or household-modification “replacement supports”
You might be able to replace standard household items with options better suited to your needs — like smart home devices, adaptive furniture, or technology that helps you live more independently.

🩵 Participation in cultural or community activities for First Nations participants
For First Nations participants, the NDIS can fund cultural or community participation when it’s linked to disability-related goals — supporting connection, identity, and wellbeing.

Every plan is different, and what’s funded will always depend on your goals and needs — but these are great examples of how the NDIS can make life a little easier, and a lot more empowering.

If you’ve met Laurent, you’ll know he’s calm, kind, and always ready with a smile. Whether he’s supporting clients in the community or chatting with the team, he brings a positive energy that brightens everyone’s day.

Outside of work, Laurent enjoys staying active — you might find him shooting hoops, exploring new places, or cooking up something delicious in the kitchen.
