📢 Voting Accessibility for People with Disabilities in Queensland! 🗳️

If you or someone you know has a disability and may find it difficult to vote in person, the Queensland Electoral Commission (QEC) is offering a convenient way to cast your vote in the upcoming election!

You can vote from the comfort of your home using the QEC phone voting line.

Here's how it works: 1️⃣ Call the QEC phone voting line at 1300 912 782. 2️⃣ Follow the prompts to complete your vote over the phone. 3️⃣ A QEC representative will guide you through the process to ensure your vote is counted!

This service is available for eligible voters who need assistance due to a disability, making voting more accessible and inclusive for everyone.

Veterans’ Health Week starts on Sunday! From 13 to 20 October you can get involved in some exciting events near you.

This year’s theme is Keep Connected.

“Social connection is about finding value in your interactions in the world, feeling valued and getting a sense of belonging,” says Veteran Family Advocate Commissioner Gwen Cherne.

There are over 780 events registered across the country promoting connection, with something for everyone, including physical activities, on-line gaming, trivia nights and cooking lessons.

“We want you there, and those organisations want you there … so get out there, get connected and give it a try.”
