Larissa Wright The Wholistic Wellness Hub

Larissa Wright The Wholistic Wellness Hub The Wholistic Wellness Hub is focused on natural therapies that bring healing mind, body and spirit. Life is a series of experiences some good and some bad.

Hi there, I'm Larissa :) Wife, mum of four, child of God and avid YL essential oil user. I believe that health and wellness needs to encompass the whole person: body, mind, emotions and spiritual. My health has been upside down and all around the last few years, I've learned that when one area is out of balance then it all gets skewed. This is how the Wholistic wellness hub was created. I experience true wellness when my mind was challenged to transform, when i began to watch my physical self, when i asked for God's guidance and when I let go of emotional baggage. If you can do this i truly believe wellness is achievable :)
This is a hub of like minded women - a community of women striving for similar things, health, wellness, low tox, essential oils, all of these are part of our journey :)

I find that happiness can be quite elusive, it is up and down and affected by emotions, so I try to stay in a state of joy and this leads to happiness. As I get older I am reminded that my mindset is impacted daily and I am easily stressed by things that I need to let go of - believe me there is a lot of letting go :) Recognising that I do not need to fight others battles, social media is constructed by a myriad of ideas and thoughts that I don't need to respond to and that others are welcome to their own perspectives, which is shaped by who they are - allows me to let go and not enter the mind battles that have plagued me in the past. How about you?!!

How's your energy sitting at the moment? Feeling any stress? Perhaps your muscles are really tense and tight suggesting that your body needs a wee bit of support.

Oftentimes we are the last people to look after ... Everyone else comes first. I went to the naturopath recently and had my cortisol levels checked (this is all to do with your stress and fight and flight response). I don't think (although I could be wrong) that I come across as a stressed out person, however periods of not looking after myself, skipping meals, rushing, feeling overwhelmed and a heap of other stuff, ensured that my afternoon cortisol levels were massively elevated. Tbh, I knew things weren't right, but until I saw the data I didn't quite believe it. The good thing about this is now I know I can do something about it!

And... massage is a fabulous way of looking after you. I encourage you to not put it off. Chat to me about what therapy can happen, what oils are good for your stress levels, or how I can help you to balance your energy levels. I'm a pretty good sounding board also.

What happens on the inside directly impacts and is impacted by what happens on the outside... gotta work on both. Our mindset, keeping positive and energised is important as our energy flows from our mind and thoughts. On the flip, eating well and looking after ourselves physically impacts our energy as well...

As I try to take a selfie without my head looking too big πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ₯΄πŸ«£ I'm reflective on life.

My college life kick starts again next week. Eek. Have I bitten off more than I can chew?!

My daughter starts uni tomorrow. I've asked all the questions (of which many I got grunts, or I already told you'd), we've bought the laptop, bought the bag, talked about trains and buses and now she is ready and on her own to take this next big step.

It's a big step for me, but it feels like and is taking it in her stride. As I feel the nerves for her she is ready to step into her own.

All I can say is a mother's job is never done and we never stop stressing. Even as they get bigger. Wish me luck...🀞🀞🀞

What do remedial massage, raindrop and lymphatic drainage have in common?
All rely on touch. While with remedial some people love deeper tissue and to feel the impact of their muscles being manipulated, others will enjoy a gentler, calmer touch. Both are important and have their value.

Compare this to LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE (not to be confused with Lymphatic massage, and the touch is completely different. Lymphatic drainage uses very gentle and light touch that has the effect of stretching tissue and moving (draining) the fluid via the lymph nodes...

Alternatively RAINDROP is different again. Raindrop works with your body's energy systems to create balance physically and emotionally. The essential oils chosen (Young Living are the best!!) have been super carefully chosen to work with each of the body systems.

What is your body needing at the moment?!

Met up at the coffee shop with this lovely lady Stephanie Pinto from Stephanie Pinto EQ Coach who is the most understanding and lovely person. We chatted about books - she told me her list and I told her mine, we chatted about Women with Altitude and Ass Parents with Special Needs ... It was a great impromptu catch up - these ones are totally the best!!

Have you got anyone you can do this with? Highly recommend... πŸ’šβ™₯οΈπŸ©·β€οΈπŸ’•

Our next sound bath is Saturday 28 Feb 6-7.30pm On The Beat Music Academy ... Come and join us ...
It's a fabulous time for grounded reflection and calming for your nervous system...
.. A sound bath uses therapeutic sounds and vibrations from instruments like Tibetan bowls to create a state of deep relaxation for the mind and body. We'll also be adding in some drumming and maybe ukelele.

Bookings are here:

I asked ChatGPT for a caricature of me and what I do and this is what it came up with. Initially it was a man I was massaging in the picture, so I asked for it to change it.

Basically it's quite accurate (although the ladies arms are quite hairy, which is rare), except I'm not a fan of real candles and they are highly toxic.
And... Imagine working with mountains and waterfalls in the background. Amazing!
