Earlier this week, our COO Matt, had the chance to sit down with local legend and 6-time Paralympian, Michael Milton — and let’s just say the conversation covered everything: business, disability, cancer, resilience and the kind of sporting comebacks that make you rethink the word “impossible.”

Michael is gearing up for an incredible return to next year’s Winter Paralympic Games, and the whole EDG crew will be right behind him every step (and ski) of the way.

☕⛳ Fueling the future of golf!

Our EDG coffee van is all set up at the Goulburn Golf Club this weekend for the 2025 Brett Ogle Junior Masters — keeping players, parents and volunteers caffeinated, warm and ready to take on the fairways.

There’s nothing better than supporting young athletes doing what they love… and serving great coffee while we’re at it. Swing by, grab a cuppa, and say hi to the team!

Whether he’s in the kitchen or cracking a classic dad joke, Lars brings humour, focus and a strong sense of commitment to every shift. He’s a proud vegetarian, a muscle man sketch artist, and (yes) he can ride a unicycle.

His goal? To become a qualified chef right here at Embrace.

Lars says what he loves most is working with a great team and knowing they can rely on him.

This recognition celebrates the heart of what we do — creating real jobs, training and purpose for people with disability through our canteens, café, food vans, catering and community programs.

We’re thrilled to announce that at the start of Term 1, 2026, Embrace Disability Group will be operating the school canteen at Queanbeyan West Public School! 🏫🍽️

Our team will be serving up fresh, nutritious meals that students will love, while also providing meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. This is a big step forward in our mission to create inclusive communities where everyone has the chance to thrive.

We can’t wait to be part of the Queanbeyan West community and look forward to bringing our passion for good food and inclusivity to the canteen!

If you were at the Queanbeyan Show over the weekend, you may have seen our team in the pavilion canteen, or down at our coffee van.

It’s fair to say that there were a lot of muffins and scones baked, coffee slung, sausages sizzled and burgers boxed! ☕️🍔🤤

It was a great experience for many members of our team, serving customers (some for the first time) and being part of a truly family friendly community event.

A big thank you to the Queanbeyan Show Society for inviting us to be part of the fun this year!

The Queanbeyan Show Society want to give a huge shoutout to Matt, Jess and the whole team at Embrace Disability Group for their hard work supporting this years show.

For two long days they kept the show comittee, our volunteers and showgoers going with their delicious food.

Without their support this years show would have looked a whole lot different.

When he’s not in the kitchen at 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, you’ll find him filming and editing videos for his YouTube channel , where he shares his passion for gaming and creativity.

Ayden says he loves working at Embrace because he gets to make biscuits (like the one in this photo) and be part of a supportive team that brings out the best in each other.

In his words: “𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.”
