Physica - Our Story
In 2018 Physica will celebrate 40 years of providing Physiotherapy in our current location of Ringwood, Victoria, Australia.
Physica was established by Mr Warwick James who saw that the urban spread east of Melbourne required a skilled Physiotherapist. In the current location Warwick converted an old house into a clinic called Ringwood Manipulative Physiotherapy Clinic. Quickly the clinic grew with the booming population growth in Ringwood and surrounding districts. Richard Gole and Greg Collis-Brown came on board soon after and grew the clinic not only in practitioners and clients but also the reputation as being one of the leading Physiotherapy clinics in Australia. This was primarily on the back of Greg Collis-Brown being a mentor and educator at the universities teaching physiotherapy both at the undergraduate and post graduate levels.
In 2001 the clinic underwent a major redevelopment into a purpose built facility. This, combined with Ringwood becoming a junction point of the East Link freeway and the Eastern freeway, has seen a further growth in Ringwood as a suburb and the clinic.
Richard Gole left as a partner and physiotherapist in 2001 and Warwick James followed in 2008 (Warwick continues to work at the clinic). From then Andrew Seymour, Darren Ross, Chris Tubb and Daniel Zwolak have become partners and the clinic changed names to Physica in 2009.
