Our residents are always happy to welcome the Little Scholars to Odyssey! These kinds of visits promote empathy and understanding, all while enriching the lives of participants on either end of the age spectrum. Intergenerational programs have become increasingly recognised for having profound positive impacts on both seniors and young individuals. From storytelling and sing-alongs to collaborative art and craft sessions, these interactions enable children to actively engage with the senior residents while creating a nurturing and stimulating environment.

We were thrilled to sponsor legendary surfer and 1965 World Champion Felipe Pomar’s ‘Surf til 100’ talk at the 2026 World Surfing Conservation Conference (WSCC) this past weekend. The WSCC is an international gathering of ocean advocates, surf communities, and environmental leaders, coming together to discuss the vital intersection of surfing, sustainability, and science. From surf break protection and ocean plastics reduction to sustainable surf tourism and innovation in surf industry recycling, it was terrific to be a part of an event focussing on building a future where surf and sea thrive side by side.
