Yesterday we attended Aurizon Rockhampton to speak with the team about Walk ‘n’ Talk who we are, what we do, and why we do it.

We shared our vision, our mission, and the real-world reason this charity exists: because mental health struggles are real, they’re happening in silence, and blokes and families in our communities deserve better support.

A massive thank you to the 100 staff who showed up and prioritised us sharing a conversation.

When a workplace chooses to invest in the mental health of its people, it doesn’t just change the culture it changes lives. Conversations like yesterday’s are often the spark that stops someone from carrying their battles alone and building a more connected work place.

We’re looking forward to building on this connection and continuing to support your team in any way we can.

If even one person walked away feeling lighter, seen, or a little more understood that’s the work that matters. And we’re just getting started. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

$25,422 Raised 👊🏽

Rockhampton Charity Boxing 🧠🥊

A massive shout-out to Brandt we are forever grateful once again choosing Walk ’n’ Talk as the charity partner. You didn’t just run an event you helped shine a bright light on men’s mental health, and that matters more than most people will ever know.

To the community who showed up, to for hosting and supporting the event, and to every single person who supported the night thank you. This movement only exists because people like you keep stepping up.

And to the fighters…
You didn’t just step into the ring for yourselves you stepped in for every bloke who’s struggling in silence. It takes guts to do what you did.
There were no losers last night. Every single one of you walked out a winner.

To the sponsors backing each fighter and the event your support helps us keep doing the work that no one else is funded to do. Men’s mental health receives zero national funding, yet we lose 7 men every single day who couldn’t fight for one more round.
That’s why what you all did last night matters.
That’s why this community matters.

Together, through sponsorships, fighter support, and the auction, we raised an incredible $25,422 money that will go straight back into our Walk ’n’ Talk Hub.
This Hub will be a home for men and families.

2026 is shaping up to be massive and our goal is to have the doors open early in the new year.

We’re also working to push more support toward the youth in our region, because the next generation deserves better mental health support than what we had. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

One of the truest blokes you’ll ever meet. We’re bloody grateful our paths crossed with Mark a genuine mate, a solid human, and someone who understands the real weight men carry.

Thanks for showing up with raw honesty, mate. Your message landed because it came from someone who’s lived it.
Happy 60th you deserve every bit of celebration.

Seeing you wear that custom Walk ’n’ Talk watch, made locally by PRKN Watches and organised by Narelle and the family… that meant a lot. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do, because blokes need looking after, and Walk ’n’ Talk is here for exactly that.

Here’s to you, Mark. One of the real ones 💚

If you’ve been carrying a bit too much lately, reach out.

Don’t do it alone, come join us at a Walk ’n’ Talk. One conversation can change everything.

Massive thanks to Michael's Miles for Mental Health for walking Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Gladstone to raise funds for us and Men's Mental Health, Michael Luhr and the crew walked 100km over the 3 days.

With the support of U-Change Consulting and Craig Marshall for Rockhampton they managed to raise $2900 which is going to go a long way towards continuing to grow our Hub and help Men and Families in the community!

This is what it's all about. Community and People coming together, setting one foot in front of the other and taking the steps towards a stronger, better future for all of us.

The ring isn’t the only place battles are fought. Mental health hits as hard as any glove.

Big cheers to Johno from and even his younger fighters fot lending a hand and for use of their ring for tonight’s Rockhampton Charity Fight Night.

Huge respect to the fighters who have even showed up and every other bloke also showing up to help and to back a cause that actually matters.

It hits different when local gyms stand for mental health.
We all face it either you wear it, or someone you love does.

And if you’re feeling lost or need direction, gyms, boxing and fitness give you purpose, structure, and a crew that’s got your back.

Walk in heavy, walk out lighter 👊🏽

See you tonight at 6pm 🤜🏼🤛🏼

Rocky… we’ve got a mission for you.

If you needed a sign to treat yourself today, here it is flashing in bright lights.
Banjo’s Rockhampton has launched the Curry Beef Pie that gives back, and for every one sold, $1 goes straight to supporting Walk ’n’ Talk Collective.

Not into curry pies?
… grab one anyway.
Or stroll in, pick anything you want, Banjo's Rockhampton is owned by a local, doing there best to give back.

This isn’t just a pie.
It’s a way to back the blokes, families, and people across CQ who are fighting their own battles every day.

👉 So get over there, smash a pie, and help us keep the conversations rolling.
One bite. One dollar. One big impact.

How do you eat your pies.
Clean bite?
Total mess?
We want to see it tag us 🙌🏼

Regional Queensland shouldn’t be the place men fall through the cracks.

But too often, that’s exactly what happens distance, isolation, and a lack of support leave blokes doing life on their own.

Chris spent the morning in Gladstone for the opening of Bob’s Garage, and it was a reminder of why Walk ’n’ Talk exists: to show up in the places that are too often forgotten.
Seeing the Gladstone community step up, speak up, and back men’s health, especially on International Men’s Day hit hard in the best way.

We’re grateful for every business, every organisation, and every person reaching out to make men’s health part of the conversation, not an afterthought. And a massive shoutout to our partners at for closing out the day with honest, needed conversations. Your support makes a genuine difference.

Men are battling more than what you see on the surface, stress, illness, relationship breakdowns, pressure, loneliness… the stuff that quietly builds until it breaks you.

That’s why days like today matter, and why one day will never be enough.

We’re overwhelmed by the support and fired up to keep pushing forward, one step, one yarn, one bloke at a time.

Men break long before they ever say the words “I’m not okay.”

It's a combination of things such as relationships falling apart, illnesses we don’t talk about, pressure at home, pressure at work, financial stress, family expectations, and the fear of letting everyone down.
Most blokes are fighting battles no one ever sees.

Today our aim was to shine that light on mental health awarness.

On International Men’s Day, we stood with men who live this work:
Jimmy Judge showing up for blokes battling life’s heaviness through sharing his story through his platform.
Chubbs from Rhino MMA living proof that movement is medicine when life gets messy.
And thanks to Rockhampton Regional Council, we shared a stage built on honesty, vulnerability, and zero judgement.

What hit hardest today?
Men speaking openly, in front of hundreds of other people along with us
and realising they weren’t the only one carrying it.

That moment?
That’s the culture shifting.
That’s the new standard we’re fighting for.

Because men don’t need fixing
They need space.
They need connection.
They need the freedom to be real without feeling weak.

If life is heavy right now l, whether it’s your health, your relationship, your mental state, or just holding yourself together
our door is open.
You matter.

People care about you more than you think.
And you don’t have to carry any of it alone
