Do you know what your responsibilities are as a consumer when eating out or purchasing packaged food?

The recently released Food Allergen Management Consensus Statement outlines the responsibilities of consumers, food manufacturers and food service providers in regard to food allergen management. Food allergen management is a shared responsibility and it is our hope that this statement will help to improve safety of people living with food allergy in Australia.

So excited to try some dairy free caramel slice!

This is exciting! Deborah shares her new find from Coles. They now have their own brand of sweetened coconut condensed milk! She found it with the condensed and evaporated milks rather than with the coconut milks and creams. It’s only $3 so that’s a significant cost reduction for dairy free baking!

This week is World Allergy Week (28 June – 4 July 2020).

Each year, the World Allergy Organization (WAO) addresses a different topic that has a need for greater awareness. This year the focus for World Allergy Week is "Allergy care does not stop with COVID-19."

It is important for those with allergies and asthma to take good care of themselves always – with or without a pandemic. As experts continue to learn about SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, allergists can help keep patients updated with accurate medical information about COVID-19 and allergic diseases.

A free webinar on COVID-19 and Allergic Disease will be held on 2 July at 8:00 am EDT (Australian Time Zone is 2 July at 10:00 pm AEST)
