What is it? White, raised spots that can be found under the eye area. Normally a build up of dead skin cells that don’t get expelled naturally.
They occur near the eye area because this area does not contain oil glands, which help keep the skin hydrated. This is why it is important to use specific eye serums so that they can pe*****te properly without damaging this sensitive area.

I personally use Eye lift peptides- not only do they promote collagen fibres and assist with skin cell repair, peptides also help lighten dark spots and improve the appearance of puffy eyes. So it’s all a win win ⚡️

SWIPE to read about hydroxy acids ➡️
These were a game changer in my skin routine!
I use Surface Radiance Cleanse Exfoliating AHA & BHA - I swear by this cleanser. (And it’s only $48) My pores are visibly smaller and cleaner!
My clients know that this is my top recommendation when I’m prescribing a cleanser.
It’s important to look at the % of AHAs & BHAs in products. They work best at a 1% and 2% and at a pH of 3 to 4.
Happy Cleansing everyone

“ACTIVE” .... a word that comes up a lot when trying to figure out what you should be using on your skin.
So I’ll keep it simple - Active ingredients are chemicals or molecules in a product that have been scientifically proven to target certain skin issues. An example is Salicylic acid- proven effective at fighting acne.
Active ingredients have been proven to change the skin in some way and are all FDA approved.

So, active ingredients have been PROVEN to work wonders for your skin, but that does not mean that inactive ingredients don’t.
Inactive ingredients are important in the delivery of active ingredients.

When you are looking for skin care products to target your skin concerns I have categorised the active ingredients below ⚡️

⚡️AGEING - vitamin A’s (retinol), vitamin C & E. SPF with zinc oxide, titanium oxide, avobenzone, oxybenzone.

⚡️PIGMENTATION- AHA’s, BHA’s, kojic acid, hydroquinone.

⚡️ROSACEA- azelaic acid, Sulfur.

⚡️ACNE- Vitamin A (retinol) , salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, azelaic acid.

⚡️PSORIASIS- steroids, vitamin a, vitamin d, salicylic acid, lactic acid, anthralin tacrolimus.

Galvanic facial is also know as iontophoresis. Like I mentioned in my video, galvanic involves low electrical currents across the face. If you swipe on the above post you will see a diagram on exactly how the positive and negative ions work together to push the products deeper into your skin. Not only does the desired product intensify in its action, but the positive and negative ions refresh, stimulate and rejuvenate the skin!
I add this treatment into my signature facials for an enhanced outcome.
Nothing feels better than loving your own skin !

We all have them!!!
I think the filters make us forget what normal skin looks like!
Pores play a huge role in keeping our skin healthy. They allow sweat and oil to escape our skin.
Pores are the opening of our hair follicles too, contains a sebaceous gland which is oil producing.
They are normally more noticeable on our forehead and nose. Controlled by our genetics, they can be large, medium or small. There are environmental factors which dictate the size of our pores too, such as a build up of dead skin cells and trapped sebum (leading to pimples).
Also, too much sun exposure can lead to weakening of collagen. Collagen is what keeps our skin tight. If it is damaged then our skins elasticity loosens, leading to stretched and bigger pores.
You cannot get rid of pores, but you can certainly minimise them! Using the right products at the right time will help, and treatments such as microdermabrasion, peels and galvanic facials.

It’s pretty obvious the higher the SPF then the higher the protection against UVB !
SPF 15+ blocks 93%
SPF 30+ blocks 97%
SPF 50+ blocks 98%

What people don’t know is how much they should apply! As you know every skin is different. The Fitzpatrick scale is a good indication on what type of skin you have and how easily it can burn.
MED= minimal erythemal dose
So how long does it take for your skin to turn red in the sun?
Example- 10 mins in the sun is how long it takes for your skin to turn red. MED x SPF
10 x 15 = 150
The answer is 150 minutes your SPF 15+ should last.
Now, the amount of sunscreen needs to be accurate. Don’t be stingy when applying sunscreen! You should use 2mg per cm2 - so pretty much 7 teaspoons per body.
Also remember to let it dry before jumping in the water. Your skin needs to absorb the sunscreen. This can take up to 10minutes!
Ingredients you should look for in sunscreens are zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Stay clear from anything with retinol, vitamin A, palmitate!
Oxybenzone and oxtinoxate are a no no. Avobenzone less than 3% is ok.
Any questions then just DM- there are loads of options out there and it can get very confusing. I always go for a mineral sunscreen ☀️
