Afternoon doggie lovers meet gorgeous Border collie, Kinser. 11year old Kinser has been having some issues with SEIZURES and I went out to do a home visit to meet him late last week. In my recommendations we are focusing on liver and gut health as well as improving GABA productivity and nervous system calming I also want him to have protein rich meals regularly to balance his blood sugar and avoid low blood sugar which can trigger seizures. Magnesium glycinate and omega 3 fatty acids are also being added in.
We'll see how he responds in a month!!!
He is SUPER sweet and gorgeous.

Evening doggie lovers this little girl is as cute as a button!!!
16 month old Groodle Holly has a number of health issues that ultimately are related to her gut immunity (health of her immune system). In our consultation today I recommended getting her off all chemicals and doing some gentle gut work as she is highly sensitive. Slippery elm, a good probiotic and some gentle liver and gut support will be the first steps to improving her overall health.
She is truly just adooorable!!!!

Evening doggie lovers look at this little cutie pie!!! Today I sid a consultation for 12year old Milly who has something known as excited larynx or laryngeal paralysis which causes her to have an irritated dry hacking cough/gagging.
After looking at her general health I could see her digestive system was in need of support. Although excited larynx has a tendency to be inherited in breeds such as Milly, Naturopathically there is a connection with gut health, inflammation, and over excited nervous system. I am putting her onto some gut liver support, bone broth, a natural diet to eliminate any processed foods that can cause inflammation and some herbs to soothe the laryngeal area plus calm down the nervous system, especially the vagal nerve. I'll be reconnecting with her in a few weeks time to see how she is progressing.
What a sweet doggie!!

Our Story

Does your dog suffer from some type of CHRONIC health problem? Skin issues, recurring infections, joint pain, digestive disturbances, stress and anxiety and ear infections are just some of the very common issues we deal with regularly. For many dog owners there is growing frustration at the conventional approach to treating these diseases and issues. The most common concerns we hear from clients is that they are sick and tired of taking their dog back and forth to vets, spending large amounts of money and being prescribed the same drugs over and over. This approach, while useful for treating acute and life threatening issues, does not address these more chronic health issues that are caused by imbalances in your dog’s body.

This is where a more natural and holistic approach can be highly beneficial, as it uses natural diets, supplements and treatments that are aimed at bringing the body gently back into balance, detoxing and healing where needed. At Canine Vitality we are Naturopathic health advisors for caring and compassionate dog owners who want their pets to enjoy the same quality of life as they do. Our work seeks to identify the root or underlying causes of your dog’s health issue and then work to correct this naturally. We understand that individual dogs have specific needs and that when these needs are met, they will live a long, happy, healthy and vital life.

Our animal Naturopath, Lyndall Pinchen has qualifications in both human and animal Naturopathy and has been in the Natural medicine industry for the last 30 years. She is passionate about helping raise awareness around natural therapies as well as helping dog’s regain their health and wellbeing through a natural path.

She currently runs her online store herbs for Happy Healthy Dogs (www.herbsforhappyhealthydogs.com.au) where you can find a range of natural herbal remedies for commone conditions including natural flea, tick and worming products. She is also available for remote consults by way of phone or skype. To find out more please email us lyndall.pinchen@gmail.com NB We do not diagnose as animal Naturopaths- please seek veterinary advice for a diagnosis on all health conditions.
