Finally, current laws around driving are not fair! Let's hope change is just around the corner. Unpaired drivers need to drive.

Today in budget estimates Premier Chris Minns confirmed his government would make driving laws fairer for medicinal cannabis patients. This follows Jeremy Buckingham (Legalise Cannabis party) and I introducing legislation late last year to achieve this important reform.

Sydney MP Alex Greenwich will move a motion in NSW parliament on Tuesday to legislate a legal defence for drivers taking medically prescribed cannabis.

Mr Greenwich recently disclosed his use of medicinal cannabis to treat post-traumatic stress disorder.

The proposed legislation will be introduced to the NSW parliament on Thursday.
