✨ Meet Heidi Gray – Our Human Resources Coordinator ✨

We’re pleased to introduce Heidi Gray, our dedicated Human Resources Coordinator at Ourcare. Heidi brings 10 years of experience in the home care industry, having started in administrative support before moving into a Human Resources role five years ago.

In her role, Heidi is passionate about creating a positive and supportive workplace, ensuring our team members feel valued and well supported. She also plays a key role in coordinating and supporting our wonderful volunteers, who provide essential transport services for community members attending medical appointments and treatments.

Outside of work, Heidi enjoys spending quality time with her two grandchildren and loves baking and decorating cookies for fun and family.

Heidi’s commitment, experience, and people-first approach make her an invaluable part of our organisation and the community we serve.

With temperatures soaring today (Friday) and continuing into the weekend, it’s important to take extra care to stay safe and cool. Please keep the following tips in mind:

✅ Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water, even if you’re not thirsty
✅ Avoid outdoor activities during peak heat (9am – 6pm)
✅ Wear lightweight, light-coloured clothing
✅ Never leave children, pets, or anyone in a parked car – even for a minute
✅ Check on elderly neighbours and vulnerable members of our community
✅ Seek shade or air conditioning whenever possible

✨ Meet Tracey Halton – Aged Care Operations Manager ✨

Tracey brings a wealth of experience and heart to her role at Ourcare. After spending 10 years working in retail, she made the move into aged care, where she has now dedicated the past 20 years supporting older people and strengthening care services in our community.

Beyond her professional role, Tracey is an active member of her local RFS and is deeply involved in her community, helping to organise and cater for monthly local events. Her commitment to caring for others extends well beyond the workplace and reflects the values that underpin everything we do at Ourcare.

We’re proud to have Tracey as part of the Ourcare team and grateful for the passion, experience, and community spirit she brings every day 💙

We celebrated the festive season with our incredible volunteers at our Christmas party! It was a great opportunity to relax, share some laughs and enjoy each other’s company after a busy year.

We also had the pleasure of celebrating a very special birthday for Pat King, which made the day even more memorable 🎂🎉

We want to say a huge thank you to every one of our volunteers for the time, care and dedication you give throughout the year. Your kindness, hard work and generosity make a real difference in our community, and we are so grateful for everything you do.

Holiday Season Service Update 🎄✨

As we head into the festive season, please note that our office will be closed on all public holidays.

From December 22nd to January 5th, we will be operating essential services only so our team can enjoy a well-earned Christmas break while continuing to support those who need it most.

All ALC programs will resume in January, and our Community Transport Bus will continue to run on all days except public holidays.

We’re incredibly excited to introduce the leader behind Ourcare Services — Adele Cashion, our Chief Executive Officer. With over 25 years of experience in aged care, disability support, and community services, Adele brings a powerful blend of expertise, warmth, and vision to her role. Her passion for community care and her commitment to empowering people to live independently continue to shape Ourcare’s growth as a trusted, compassionate, and innovative local provider.

Adele is deeply focused on building strong relationships, supporting our dedicated team, and ensuring every participant and consumer receives respectful, tailored support that enhances wellbeing, dignity, and lifestyle.

Outside of work, Adele is proudly family focused. She has two teenage children, Thomas and Sophie, and a much-loved cat named Violet. Her whole family is also involved in Athletics and Trail Running, and she absolutely loves to be outdoors.
