We are proud to share that our wonderful volunteer, Shirley, has been nominated in recognition of her incredible contribution to Ourcare Services and the Singleton community.

For 18 years, since 17 November 2008, Shirley has generously dedicated her time to supporting our Active Living Centre and Community Transport programs. Through her role, she helps older members of our community stay connected, enjoy activities like craft and bingo, and share meaningful moments over a meal. Shirley also plays an important role in ensuring participants are welcomed with a smile and assisted safely onto the Ourcare bus.

Shirley’s reliability, kindness and commitment are truly remarkable—she is always ready and waiting, no matter the time, and rarely misses a day. Even more inspiring, Shirley celebrated her 80th birthday this year and continues to give so much back to her community.

Her secret to wellbeing? Simply “keep on going”—and that’s exactly what she does.

We are so grateful for everything Shirley brings to Ourcare. She is a valued and much-loved member of our team, and this nomination is so well deserved 💙

Recently we celebrated Leesa Nelson at her farewell morning tea, recognising an incredible 16 years of dedicated service to Ourcare Services Limited.

Leesa’s compassion, commitment, and support have made a lasting impact on our team and the community we serve. We thank her sincerely for her 16 years of service and wish her all the very best in her next chapter. 💙

A sincere thank you to all who attended our wonderful opening and a special mention to the amazing Pearl, who has reached the honour of birthday wishes from the King!

Official opening of the Ourcare Centre. With Ourcare CEO Adele Cashion and Peter Mitchell cutting the ribbon. And just behind them is Pearl Radnidge who celebrated her 100th birthday last week. The Centre has undergone extensive renovations since Ourcare purchased the building in 2023.

Adele, Kathy, Nicole, and Bronwyn from Ourcare Services Limited were honoured to attend this year’s International Women’s Day Luncheon hosted by Business Singleton. With the inspiring theme “Give to Gain,” the event highlighted the importance of fostering a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

The luncheon brought together an incredible network of professionals and community leaders, creating a space for connection, reflection, and shared inspiration. Powerful stories were shared around navigating challenges, embracing authenticity, and the importance of self-compassion — leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

Ourcare Services Limited will be closed over the Easter long weekend from Friday 3rd April, reopening on Tuesday 7th April.

We would like to wish all of our clients, families, and community a safe and happy Easter filled with rest, joy, and time with loved ones.💛

Please note that personal care and essential support services will continue as normal, with no changes to scheduled supports.

We’re excited to welcome our new Dietitian, Christina, to the team at Ourcare Services 🥗💚

Christina brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing through practical, personalised nutrition advice. We’re thrilled to have her supporting our clients and community.

Outside of work, Christina is a busy mum to two girls, aged 9 and 10. Weekends are often spent camping with her family — exploring new places, trying new foods, and enjoying time in nature ⛺🌿 She also enjoys playing netball and curling up with a good psychological thriller 📚
