Daffodil Day 2025 – August 21st

Today, Australians across the country come together to give hope to those impacted by cancer. Daffodil Day is about raising awareness, celebrating resilience, and showing support for people and families affected by this disease.

Cancer touches almost every family in some way — almost 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed by the age of 85. By spreading awareness and sharing the message of hope, we can help shine a light on the importance of research, care, and support.

Let’s come together this August to remember, support, and give hope.

Our new utility room at Wattle Cottage is ready!
Thanks to the generous support of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland, Paper Cranes Children’s Foundation now has a fully functional utility room.
We’d also like to thank SKW Home Improvements , Double Tap Plumbing & Drainage , Smart Electrical Solutions QLD , First Class Tilers , and Galia (our Ikea flat-pack wizard) for bringing this project to life.
This new space will be used for in-house laundry and for cleaning and safely storing clinical consumables, helping us better care for the children and families we support.

August 8th, we honour one of the greatest inspirations behind Wattle Cottage and the Paper Cranes Children’s Foundation — Joey.
Your memory continues to guide everything we do. Though you weren’t able to grow up alongside the wattles we planted with your beautiful family, your spirit is deeply rooted in all we nurture and build.

Main Bathroom Makeover – Complete

We’re proud to share the completion of our newly renovated main bathroom — a calm, welcoming, and accessible space that will make a real difference for the children and families supported by Paper Cranes at Cottage

A beautiful morning spent at the Club Southside Breakfast this weekend just been, surrounded by passionate community leaders and local changemakers.

Today, we celebrate all the incredible mums out there—the ones who are with us, the ones we hold in our hearts, the dads who step up and wear both hats, and the amazing souls who take on the mothering role with love and compassion.

At Paper Cranes Children’s Foundation, we are especially grateful for the caregivers and nurturers who support our children with endless love, strength, and kindness. You are the heartbeats that keep our community thriving.
