Spending the day with Mocha 🤎🐾
Today was all about our beautiful boy, Mocha — our Australian Labradoodle — and another important step in his journey. We headed out to Noah’s Crossing for preliminary testing.
DNA samples were collected today, and we completed analysis of his breeding sample — all part of responsible, careful health screening.
His hips and shoulders were done a month ago, and the results were outstanding — exceeding brilliant scores and well below the breed standard. Exactly what you hope for, but still such a proud moment when the confirmation comes through. Strong, balanced, and built beautifully.
Before our appointment we stopped at the Two Wells memorial, where dogs who lost their lives in wars are honoured and remembered. It’s a deeply moving place. Standing there with Mocha beside me was a quiet reminder of just how much dogs give — their loyalty, their courage, their whole hearts.
Days like today aren’t just about testing. They’re about stewardship, responsibility, and gratitude — for the incredible dogs who share our lives and for the legacy we hope to build thoughtfully and ethically.
