Many women I speak to are doing everything “right”…
but their body is no longer responding the way it used to.

They’re eating well.
They’re exercising.
They’re trying to stay consistent.

But:

• weight isn’t shifting
• energy feels inconsistent
• sleep isn’t as restorative
• and what used to work… no longer does

This isn’t a lack of discipline.

It’s usually a sign that the systems regulating metabolism and hormonal balance are under a different set of pressures.

And continuing to push harder often makes it worse.

This is exactly what my programs are designed to address.

If this resonates, you can explore my programs via the link in bio.

Many women I work with are doing everything right.

Eating well.
Exercising.
Trying to take care of themselves.

But their body just isn’t responding.

Weight feels stuck.
Energy isn’t the same.
And nothing seems to shift.

This is often where metabolism has adapted.

It’s not about trying harder.

It’s about understanding what your body actually needs now.

If this feels familiar, you’re not alone.

Many women are still given the same advice they heard in their twenties:

Eat less.
Exercise more.

But when metabolic signals shift, pushing harder isn’t always the answer.

Supporting sleep, stress and metabolic health together often makes a bigger difference.

Many women tell me the same thing:

"I feel like I'm doing everything right, but my body isn't responding anymore."

From the mid-30s onwards, metabolism and hormonal signals can shift.

Energy changes.
Sleep changes.
Weight can become harder to shift.

Understanding these changes is often the first step toward finding an approach that works again.

Many women over 35 don’t realise their metabolism may be out of balance until things start to feel harder than they used to.

Some common signs include:

• constant fatigue
• sugar or carbohydrate cravings
• weight gain around the middle
• poor or disrupted sleep
• feeling like your body is no longer responding the same way

These changes are not random.

They can reflect shifts in metabolic signalling, hormones, stress response and blood sugar regulation.

Which is why simply trying to “eat less and exercise more” often doesn’t resolve the underlying issue.

When these systems are supported properly, the body often begins to respond very differently.

These signs are more common than many women realise.

• Constant fatigue
• Sugar cravings
• Weight gain around the middle
• Poor sleep
• Energy dips throughout the day

Often, these aren’t random.

They can reflect how your body is regulating energy, hormones and blood sugar.

When these systems are under strain, the body adapts.

And that’s when things can start to feel harder than they used to.

If you recognise a few of these, it may be worth looking a little deeper.

Are you a woman over 35 who has noticed something frustrating:

The things that you used to use to manage your weight suddenly don’t seem to work anymore...

You're eating well...
You're exercising more...
But the scales barely move.

Many women beat themselves up about not being more disciplined, or feel like they lack willpower.

Or assume it's just a normal part of getting older.

As metabolism changes with age, hormones, stress, sleep quality and insulin regulation begin to have a much greater influence on how the body stores and uses energy.

Simply eating less doesn’t address those deeper metabolic signals.

Actually, doing this slows metabolism further.

This is why a root-cause approach becomes so important.

When the underlying drivers are supported properly, the body often begins to respond very differently.

Why does weight loss stops or slows massively when you're 35+

Many women are eating well, exercising and trying harder than ever....

But their bodies simply aren't responding in the same way.

This is often a metabolic shift - not a lack of discipline.

Many women I speak to are doing everything right.

They’re eating well.
They’re exercising.
They’re trying harder than ever.

Yet their bodies feel stuck.

Often the issue isn’t effort.

It’s that most approaches focus on symptoms rather than the systems behind them.

This is one of the reasons Tree of Health exists.

If this feels familiar, I’ve explained why this happens (and what to focus on instead) here: https://treeofhealth.com.au/root-cause-health-tree-of-health/.

When I created Tree of Health, I chose the name very intentionally.

If a tree’s leaves begin to struggle, we don’t try to fix the leaves.

We look at the conditions supporting the tree:

• the soil
• the water
• the environment supporting the roots

The body works in much the same way.

Symptoms are often signals that something deeper needs support.

I’ve written more about this in the Grow section of the website.

Are you a woman over 35 who has noticed something frustrating:

The things that used to help you manage your weight suddenly don't seem to work anymore...

You're eating well...
You're exercising more...
But the scale barely moves.

Many women beat themselves up about not being more disciplined, or that they lack willpower.

Or that it's just a sign of getting older.

As metabolism changes with age, hormones, stress, sleep quality and insulin regulation have far more influence on how the body stores and uses energy than when you were younger.

Simply eating less doesn’t address those deeper metabolic signals.

Actually, doing this slows metabolism further.

This is why a root-cause approach becomes so important.

When the underlying metabolic drivers are addressed, the body begins responding very differently.
