This morning, the eucalyptus stood in conversation with the wind. Not resisting it. Not collapsing under it.Meeting it. In the yogic tradition, we speak of the Vayus — the subtle winds that move prana through the body. They are not random forces. They are intelligent movements, directing energy, circulation, release, and growth. Just like these trees. The wind doesn’t weaken the eucalyptus — it strengthens it. Each gust invites deeper rooting. Each sway builds resilience in the trunk and flexibility in the branches. What can no longer serve — old leaves, loose bark, dead wood — is gently loosened and released. This is how vitality stays alive. In the body, the Vayus do the same. They help us shed what has protected us once, but is no longer needed. Old tension. Outdated patterns. Breath held too tightly. Some winds ground us downward. Some lift us upward. Some circulate, digest, integrate. Some open the heart and expand us outward. When the winds move freely, life moves freely. May we learn from the trees —to bend without breaking,to root while we sway, and to trust that what falls away is simply making space for what’s next.
