Well done to the amazing team at Mens Talk AU for putting together another amazing event, raising vital funds and awareness for men’s mental health and su***de prevention. It was great to get out there with my own boys to enjoy such an awesome community event. Incredible effort to all the teams of swimmers, who swan non-stop for 24 hours 👏

Today is 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 and I was fortunate to attend the 𝗪𝗔 𝗠𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱! 💙

The statistics around male su***de are staggering, and there are too many to mention in one post. The simple fact is that men are over-represented across every single age group, highlighting the need to provide more support at every stage - boyhood, manhood, and fatherhood. I’m fortunate to see in my daily practice how powerful it is to create safe spaces for men to reach out for help and to speak about what matters to them most. We can all do it – push past that first question and open up a culture of care for our men and boys.

Shout out to Mens Talk AU & Richmind WA for putting together such an inspiring event, and it was wonderful to meet so many like-minded people who care about men’s health 👊

Today is Mens Talk AU’s annual 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 event, raising money and awareness to help men here in WA. It all about encouraging and normalising conversations around mental health and wellness, to support the prevention and intervention of su***de amongst our Australian Men.

We’re proud to be one of the sponsors of the event and to contribute in a small way towards the incredible work they do for men in our communities.

It was great to be invited to come down recently to the Men’s Sheds of WA ‘𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁’ at the Lake Monger Community Shed. As always, it was an honour to speak to an engaged crowd about topics I am most passionate about. Lifting the stigma and encouraging men to talk about their concerns is what it’s all about. Good food, good music, good vibes and lots of friendly men and women.

The take home message: 🗣️ “𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑃𝑆𝐴 𝑏𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑡𝑒𝑠𝑡”. It’s a simple blood test, pass it on!

I’m looking forward to being part of the next Pcahelp 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 in 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗼𝗻! Myself and the team will be there to impart our knowledge on what men (and their partners) can do to optimise their recovery and maximise quality of life, regardless of what stage of their prostate cancer journey. It was great to get out to Melbourne this week to attend the 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮-𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. What better way to round up International Men’s Health Week on Saturday than to get out to Prostate Care’s gala event - An Evening In Paris. It was a fantastic night out, full of inspiration and getting so many people together for a common cause.
