The Physiotherapy Management of Constipation & Defaecation Dysfunction workshop would benefit beginner and more experienced physiotherapists working in the area of Continence and Pelvic Health. This clinically-oriented workshop will outline:
➡ the brief anore**al anatomy and physiology
➡ diagnosis of constipation and defaecation difficulties
➡ underlying pathophysiology and contributing factors with reflection on clinical reasoning
➡ physiotherapy assessment and treatment options.

Demonstration of relevant physical examinations and treatments including the use of biofeedback (re**al balloon) will be provided. The participants will have opportunity to perform mock physical examinations and/or biofeedback treatment. The workshop will conclude with discussion on case summaries.
