Around a wooden dining table worn with love and stories, I sit with Pat.
“ Pat, I am thinking of opening something similar to Cosmic. A place to remind people of the ‘magick’ the world has to offer, where people can connect with each other and themselves, somewhere that when you walk in it just feels inviting….. I'll add a therapy space that aims to help people heal themselves in a
person-centered and holistic manner, what do you think? I would love your blessing before I go ahead with it”. She hugged me with one of those hugs that warms your soul and connects people. I LOVE IT, she said. And so, it began. From the beginning, I knew I could not replicate Pat’s Cosmic Collection, and I didn’t want to try. Could Cosmic CONNECTION borrow some of its allure and magick? I crossed my fingers and hoped that it could. Cosmic CONNECTION Holistic well-being centre pays tribute to Pat's incredible contribution and impact on the community of Sunbury. For being a pioneer of her time, for her kindness and generosity, and for creating a shop that the people of Sunbury and surrounds still hold special memories about. I walk humbly in shoes never meant for filling while recognising and acknowledging it is probably time that Sunbury again had such a place.
