So proud of Liam and Kev!!!
Great job guys! :)

Liam and Kev put in a huge effort on Friday, cooking up 85 burgers for the Sunbury community in partnership with Goonawarra Neighbourhood House 🍔🔥

We loved being part of Sunbury Neighbourhood Week and connecting with so many amazing people who truly understand what community is all about — bringing people together, sharing stories, and building real connections.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat (and a burger!). We’re already looking forward to the next one ❤️

Exciting things are happening at The Do Food Truck 🔨✨

Upgrades are underway for the café, entertainment, and dining area — all designed to make every visit even more enjoyable. We’re adding beautiful decorative furnishings to enhance the warm, family-friendly courtyard atmosphere.

Ben, Shane, and Dylan have been hard at work as part of the new Woodwork Activity Group at Distinctive Options in Sunbury. With support from staff member Adam, the group has access to professional-grade tools and equipment in our fully fitted warehouse, they’re creating high-quality pieces in a safe and supportive learning environment.

Be sure to drop by the café soon to see the incredible craftsmanship from our woodworking team — you won’t want to miss it! 🌿🪵

Fresh Air, Fitness at Lake Neangar!🌿

While on community access, Cameron was supported by Independent Living Support Worker Jacquie 😊

This week they enjoyed a walk around Lake Neangar, near Eaglehawk. This beautiful lake is a popular local spot, known for its scenic walking tracks, abundant birdlife, and peaceful surroundings—perfect for getting outdoors, staying active, and enjoying nature.🌿

After taking in the fresh air, Cameron chose to get active on the outdoor gym equipment to get his heart rate up 💪

The highlight of the day was trying a new café – The Red Trike Rabbit Cafe ☕ He enjoyed a delicious lunch of salt & pepper calamari, sweet potato chips, and a chai latte 😋

A great mix of exercise, delicious food and the great outdoors!

What a party we had! 🎊 💙

The Sunbury R&R (Rights and Responsibilities) Network turned The World’s Greatest Shave into a full‑blown celebration — music pumping, laughs echoing,
hair flying, and colour everywhere.

Four absolute legends — Stefan, Thomas, Jason and Aaron took centre stage and bravely said goodbye to their locks ✂️ ✨
Meanwhile, Casey & Boedan from Dagger & Rose Barbershop kept the vibe high and the styles sharp with their top‑tier barbering magic.

And the colour spray station? Pure chaos in the best way. 🌈 😂
No one was safe! Staff, participants, and anyone who dared get too close walked out looking like rainbow confetti. Funky streaks, wild shades, surprise glitter — it was truly a sight.

Together, this colourful, joy‑packed celebration raised $743 for
The Leukaemia Foundation! 💛 💙

A massive thank‑you to everyone who donated, to our brave shave champions, to Dagger & Rose Barbershop, and a huge shout‑out to the R&R Network for organising this absolute blast of an event.

Meet one of the regulars at The Do Food Truck!!! :)

Luke from local bespoke design and construction company Directitude knows where to find the good stuff 😄

On his lunch break, you’ll often spot him popping in for a classic ham & cheese toastie or going all out with a burger with the lot 🍔
Just what's needed to get through a busy afternoon in the warehouse.

We love having you drop by Luke—see you again soon!

Cameron and his support worker, Jacquie, enjoyed some great community access time with a visit to a local café in Sunbury ☕

While out and about, they caught up with Independent Living Supports Assistant Coordinator Taryn and shared a lovely lunch together at The Social Spoon 🍽️

They also made the most of this time to review and chat through support planning in a relaxed and comfortable setting. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, enjoy good food, and spend quality time in the community 😊

If you are travelling anywhere from Phillip Island, Victoria to Bermagui, NSW and everywhere in between make sure you pick up a copy of the Lakes Coast Visitors Guide Autumn edition.

It’s full of great information on things to see, where to stay and eat and includes a page about our Social Enterprises in Bairnsdale - The Brew Crew Cafe and Banksia Fine Foods.

Well done 👏👏👏

Corinne, Laura and Hannah are proud participants in the R&R Network in Sunbury.

R&R stands for Rights and Responsibilities—a participant-driven advocacy network at Distinctive Options that empowers people to have their voices heard. Since launching in 1998, the groups have provided a space for participants to share ideas, raise and problem-solve issues, and organise fundraising activities for causes they care about.

Right now, the R&R Network in Sunbury is working hard behind the scenes to prepare for the World’s Greatest Shave event in Sunbury on Wednesday 18 March! 💙✂️

The team says:

"We’re proud to be supporting the Leukaemia Foundation and standing with the thousands of Australians affected by blood cancer. Every shave, colour or snip helps create real change."
