A new year brings new goals, fresh opportunities, and continued growth.

As we welcome the year ahead, we remain committed to supporting participants to build independence, confidence and meaningful outcomes.

Here’s to another year of choice, progress, and partnership. ✨

This year was full! Full calendars, full conversations and steady, meaningful progress.

As we grew, we welcomed around 20 new participants and continued supporting individuals and families with care, intention, and respect.

That growth was matched behind the scenes. In April, we undertook our annual audit and passed with flying colours, with auditors genuinely impressed by our systems, practices and the way we operate. Building on that momentum, we reviewed and strengthened our policies and procedures, completed emergency management simulation testing, and continued working through our continuous improvement actions.

Alongside this, we refined and optimised our systems, adapted to ongoing changes within the NDIS, and kept showing up (even when it meant countless meetings and problem-solving sessions)

Our team also grew this year. We welcomed some incredible new support workers, people we are truly proud to work alongside and who continue to make a real difference every day.

Mid-year marked an exciting shift for us. In May, we captured our vision through a rebrand photoshoot, and by June we officially launched our new name 'Evercare Support', along with a new website that better reflects who we are and how we support our community.

We also ran our school holiday program, which was a hit! We’re super excited to run even more programs in 2026 and continue creating fun, meaningful experiences for our participants.

Throughout it all, there were too many phone calls to count and plenty of collaboration meetings with our stakeholders (thank you for your ongoing partnership and patience). These conversations helped drive connection, clarity and positive change.

Most importantly, this year was about impact and supporting people, strengthening families and working together to create meaningful change.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come and grateful to our clients, families, team, and stakeholders for being part of the journey. We’re looking ahead to 2026 with confidence and excitement for what’s next.

School holidays can be full of fun, but they can also bring extra pressure for carers.

It’s okay to take a step back, ask for help, and prioritise your own wellbeing. Small breaks, planning ahead, and using NDIS supports can make a big difference, helping you stay energised while participants stay supported and engaged.

Remember: caring for yourself is part of caring for others. 💛

The holidays often bring more catch-ups, conversations and social time.

For many people, this can feel overwhelming, especially when conversations become personal, repetitive or emotionally draining. It’s okay to pause, change the topic or take a break when you need to.

You don’t owe anyone explanations. Protecting your energy and wellbeing is part of taking care of yourself.

🤍 Do what feels right for you this holiday season.

🌻 A Big Transition, A Big Team Effort

Over the past few months, we’ve had the privilege of supporting a participant through a major life transition, moving out of hospital and settling back into their home. These transitions can be complex and emotional, but they’re also where the strength of a supportive, coordinated team truly shows.

With kindness, patience, and consistent communication, our support workers worked together to assist with hospital discharge, create a smooth return home and help the participant adjust to their new normal at a pace that felt right for them.

Transitions aren’t just about practical steps, they’re about building confidence, offering reassurance and showing up with empathy every single day.

We’re incredibly proud of our team for the care and dedication they brought to this process, and are deeply grateful for the trust our participant placed in us during such an important time. 💛

Here’s to new routines, gentle progress, and moving forward together.

Meet Joy, one of our incredible support workers with an amazing story.

For Joy, her why comes from a place of empathy and connection. She shared with us this week about what being a support worker means to her and why she got into this type of work. 🌿

"My passion for working in disability stems from wanting to help those with psychosocial disabilities. People whose brains are wired a little differently,
and/or are impacted by trauma, addictions, and su***deality.
When I was 19, life happened, and I spent a year on the street. I witnessed firsthand the effects of childhood traumas, undiagnosed or untreated mental health concerns such as schizophrenia, BPD, PTSD, and bipolar, to name a few.

I witnessed the impact of addictions that stemmed from people trying to cope with life when they didn't know any other strategies.
I lost many friends to su***de and drug overdoses. I heard people's life stories holding so much fear and pain that you'd think it was a Steven King novel.

These people are easily the best people I have ever met in my life. The strongest, most loving people that didn't know how to handle everything life threw at them. Who's brains were wired differently and struggled to fit in to mainstream society. Who didn't have a safe person to speak to or never had a positive role model.

I saw the impact that support workers made. Whether it was helping to find housing, connecting to services, or even just being someone to talk to without judgement or concern. And I knew that I wanted to help too."

Joy, we are so lucky to have you on our team and the judgement free support you provide to our participants. 💚

In NDIS speak, we support things like:
• Capacity building
• Community participation
• Daily living
• Working toward personal goals

But in everyday language?
It just means we help people live life the way they want to.

Whether that’s learning new skills, getting out more, building routines, or having someone to walk alongside them, we’re here to support what matters to them. Not what matters to us.

3 December – International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience and achievements of people living with disabilities around the world. 💙

This day reminds us of the importance of inclusion, accessibility and respect in every part of life, especially in care and support.

This year’s theme, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” highlights the vital role of inclusion in building stronger, fairer communities. When we remove barriers and empower every person to participate fully, we create a world where progress benefits everyone. 🌍💫

Together, we build a society where everyone belongs.

🎄✨ Have you gotten into the Christmas spirit yet?
It’s just 3 weeks and 3 days until Christmas!

Our participant 'A' is already buzzing with excitement from meeting jolly Santa, running into a cheerful snowman and cozying up at home in his fun Christmas shirt! ☃️🎅❤️

Meet another one of our valued support workers Josh! We asked Josh this week 'Why do you do this work?' and this is what he said. 🌞

"Because it doesn't feel like work.

I've worked in the human services sector for a while now, but a constant theme which pervaded other sectors, made it feel like I was too outcome focused and running on a constant timeline.

In this role, I get to be alongside someone, going at their pace, and assisting them work towards their individual goals (not the goal of an organisation), sharing in their laughter, their challenges. I get the opportunity to build a strong rapport and I believe this yields the best outcomes."

We're so grateful to have passionate, person-centred team members like Josh. 💛

Collaboration gets tossed around a lot in the NDIS space, but what does it actually mean? For us, it’s pretty simple: collaboration is everyone working together with one goal in mind… the participant’s goals.

It’s not about one provider taking the lead or trying to be the “expert.” It’s about sharing knowledge, communicating openly, and making sure the person we’re all supporting has their voice heard at every step. When support workers, therapists, families, and support coordinators all pull in the same direction, things just flow better.

The best outcomes happen when we all stay curious, stay open, and remember why we’re here in the first place: to support people to live the lives they choose.
