I can’t recommend this book series enough. I found it at Kunara Organic Marketplace. It’s all about Fairies and crystals and a kid having a rough day at school and how best to deal with that 🧚 Olivia Helps The Crystal Fairies. We need more books like this one. I can’t wait til Edie is old enough to understand the messages ❤️💚🩷🧡

ALWAYS trust your gut! Recently I visited a health food store and was looking at homeopathic remedies for anxiety. The Naturopath didn’t feel any of them for me but I bought Phosphorus 30c because it felt right. It’s been working so well 🙌🏻

My bubba is getting around with a wheely walker now and, as such, she came across my book shelf. I spotted a particular book and pulled it off the shelf to show Edie. Then I looked at it and was like ‘I don’t think I’ve seen this book before’.

So I started reading and BOOM!! It is so beautifully written and thought provoking. It was written by two men for their children. I photographed a couple of pages so you can see.

As you know, I’ve been working through some stuff, and this book is just what I needed. I read it before bed every night and it’s the perfect way to wind down ⛅️ 📕

I wanted to share with you all that I found out I have Post Natal Depression. I was the last person I thought would get PND so I’ve been battling on for months. Self healing is amazing but I kept finding myself losing sleep for days at a time. I started acupuncture again and my practitioner mentioned she could feel in my pulses that I’d lost a lot of blood (which I had during the birth) so she’s been boosting my blood chi with needles and supplements. Wow! What a change. I’ve been getting spinal flow for a few weeks too and I sleep like a baby for days after that.

After my first acupuncture treatment in ages I had the best sleep too then did a silly trip to Maroochydore the next arvo and put myself back in fight or flight. So I booked a last minute trip to see the GP the next day. I met a fab guy who was on his first day at Aura Family Doctors and he prescribed antidepressants and antihistamines to help me sleep. I also spotted flyer advertising EMDR which I’ve signed up for.

Well it’s been a slippery slope since then. Turns out antihistamines reduce your milk supply so I had to stop taking them. Started taking drug that is basically a sedative but is highly addictive. Had three of them and was able to sleep (the antidepressants also caused insomnia). I found while I was on this medication that I received no benefit from the acupuncture or spinal flow and couldn’t sleep without medication. I had constant feelings of anxiety and panic and restlessness.

In the end I lasted 9 days then came off the antidepressants. Please don’t think I’m telling anyone else not to take them. I’m limited by what I can take due to breastfeeding. They just weren’t for me. Now I’m taking Melatonin to help me sleep and a finding it works for me and I feel calm on it. Im also getting relief from my alternate therapies and self healing again too. I let the PND go on for so long my nervous system was completely shot to pieces so I think the sedative allowed me to have a bit of a reset.

Now I’m starting to come out of the other side and see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m sharing this as I want other women to be aware. One of the other ladies in my antenatal group has also just been diagnosed with PND and our bubbas are 5 months old so it can strike at any time. I’ve made an appointment with my naturopath so get my hormones back in alignment too.

🙂 I often hear people say things like ‘I’ll be happy when we go on our overseas holiday’ or ‘I’ll be happy when I win the Lotto’. The truth is we have EVERYTHING we need to find happiness right NOW!

MEDITATION | I’m just getting back into having nightly baths and doing my favourite guided meditations.

In the past I’d worry about my now 3 month old (who’s in her bed) suddenly needing me. But I find I’m able to relax and drop in.

Of course, I’m doing this for myself but also for her so I can be the best mummy possible to Edie.

THE POWER OF HEALING | Over the past few weeks I’ve been losing sleep due to feelings of anxiety and panic. My bubba is sleeping from round 6pm-5am some days. At the very least she’s sleeping 9 hours a night. But I’ve had a lot of fear coming up and it’s been keeping me awake.

Lately I’ve been calling in the Angels and my Guides to help me get to sleep. One night I managed (with some help from my Reiki Ashati practice) to get into a nice deep meditative state and connect with my team. They told me I was taking too much Vitamin B and I didn’t need it. They also told me to go through all my self healing techniques as the answer was there.

I thought about what they’d said afterwards and questioned all of it. Could I really heal myself from where I was at? Could I really survive without all the Vitamin B i was taking. I’ve used it over the years to help with restless legs and to calm the nervous system. I realised I didn’t trust myself.

So I thought about Pranic Energy Healing and I recalled there’s a treatment for Insomnia and Sleeplessness. 😮 💡 I ran and filled up a bowl with salt water and began the treatment on myself. It targets anxiety, stress and fear based emotions. I did an additional treatment on myself heart and head space - calling in calm. I also did a full on chord cutting and release.

Without word of a lie, I fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow (at like 730pm) and woke around 2am 🤯 then I easily went back to sleep and woke at the same time as my bubba. I’ve continued to call my beautiful team and the angelic realm in before I go to sleep as I like the feeling of safety they offer.

I have faithfully continued this Pranic Energy Treatment every night since then and am using beautiful oils and magnesium to help me rest. Plus I’m adding in some reiki healing and symbols.

These have been testing times for sure and have made me question a lot in my life. But if you recall my previous post about my prayers being answered with my clients looking after Edie when my baby sitter phoned in sick, then maybe you too will gather a little more faith. I hope so.

The universe works in mysterious ways! Today was my first day back at work in over 3 months. Our babysitter called in sick so it was down to my husband to do his paid job and look after our baby at the same time 😬

My first clients were a mum and her two daughters (originally mum and her mum were booked in, so the daughters were a last minute change).

When I mentioned my predicament to my client she suggested her daughters look after the baby. Which they did. For two hours?!?!? Feeding, burping…the whole thing. And Edyn-Louise loved every minute. She loved it so much that this has been her since they left. She fell asleep on them and hasn’t moved since ❤️🩷

Please know your prayers are always being answered, just not always in the way we expect.

PS my original babysitter sent a back up (which i only found out about last minute this morning) but we turned her away as the girls really wanted to look after Edie for me 😋

My parents are loving being grandparents to this little girl 🎀 they’re coming over for lunch today so Edie is dressed in her Sunday best. I feel like grandparents are so important for our kids. Telling them stories and sparking their imagination. I also feel like many (those who’ve retired) find they’re able to spend more quality time with their grandkids compared to their own kids.

My parents are also coming to see her first swim lesson on 9/9 (had to choose the repeating numbers) 🏊‍♂️ 🩷💚🧡❤️ sending love to you all ###bs arr g ation

This kid is keeping me on my toes. She is displaying so many different expressions and showing interest in toys and wanting to play and interact. It’s a great learning process for me too and is teaching me all about being super present and aware as she grows 🎡🎠🎢🧸🪆🎈🎁🎎
