Helping young people handle stress isn’t always easy… and most of us are figuring it out as we go 💖
Big emotions, overwhelm, shutdowns, frustration… it’s all part of growing up. But when kids are given the right tools and support, they learn they can get through it 🌱
A few simple, real-life ways to support them:
• Let them feel it 🫶
Not every emotion needs to be fixed straight away. Sometimes they just need someone to sit with them and say “that makes sense” 💬
• Keep coping strategies simple 🌸
When they’re overwhelmed, less is more. A few deep breaths, a walk, or a quick reset can go a long way ✨
• Notice the small wins 💕
Confidence doesn’t come from big moments, it’s built in the everyday. Celebrate the little things 🌈
• Connection over correction 👯♀️
Before jumping to discipline or solutions, focus on connection. Feeling safe and understood changes everything 💗
• You don’t have to have all the answers 🌼
Supporting young people isn’t about getting it perfect. It’s about showing up, being consistent, and trying again 💡
