SWOPmale This is the page of the Male Project of SWOP NSW. SWOP promotes the health, safety and wellbeing of sex industry workers.

SWOP provides sexual health information and support to people who engage in sex work. We run a variety of health programs and provide outreach to sex industry workplaces. We also work with sex industry owners and operators to encourage the acceptance and maintenance of safe sex practices, and other forms of workplace health and safety. SWOP provides more than just health information. We have a wide-reaching team of specialists and sex industry peers. This includes female, male and transgender outreach workers; a multicultural team supporting sex workers from non-English speaking backgrounds; a counsellor; and an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander outreach worker. All team members outreach to both metro and regional NSW. SWOP works with NSW sex workers, management and their clients. We endeavour to make our programs and services appropriate for sex workers from a diverse range of backgrounds with particular regard to gender, culture, language and age. We also work with other people who participate in sex for favours, cash, drugs, clothing, a place to stay, alcohol or anything else, either often, or on occasion. We will reflect on how this impacts us, where we stand and what wisdom we can collectively call in as we navigate the trickiness of disclosing, not disclosing or living in partnership where stigma is present.

We’re looking for current or former SWers to volunteer for the SWer Walking Tour, hosted by SWOP NSW in the historic red light district of Kings Cross.
Volunteering is a great way to share your wisdom, knowledge and skills about the s3x industry, and a great opportunity to participate in upcoming community events and projects.

Registrations are now open to participate in the SWers and allies float 'Ecstatic Or****ic' for the 2026 Sydney Mardi gras Parade!! Registrations close on the 25th of February 2026, so make sure to express your interest in advance!!

Join SWOP NSW on Monday 2 February 2026 for our next SMART Recovery Meeting.

These meetings are SWer-led support groups, run by SWOP NSW staff with lived experience. The Meetings are a safe space to work on your goals around alcohol, drug use or any behaviours you'd like to address.

You can join at your own pace with no pressure to attend every session. Meetings are held fortnightly on Mondays from 3:00 to 4:30pm at the SWOP NSW office on Gadigal Land.

You can attend in person or online.
