Brenten and Janelle Hogan have created the business, Strive Maintenance & Support. This business provides a service to the community as well as supporting people with disabilities. Our motto, ‘Employing All Abilities’, provides people with disabilities the opportunity to have meaningful life through work. We believe that work provides stimulation to the mind along with being physically active. Strive Maintenance & Support endeavours to provide a service possible to meet the customers’ needs. We are able to complete a range of tasks such as mowing for appearance and/or fire prevention, cleaning worksites, spraying/chipping/pulling weeds, general gardening, rubbish removal and making areas presentable. This vision has been extended into the following mission statement:
‘To provide working opportunities for all abilities as they offer a service to the community that empowers and encourages each participant a sense of achievement and responsibility.’
All participants are employed by Strive Maintenance & Support to complete tasks and will be remunerated for any works completed by Strive Maintenance & Support. The vision and mission statement provide a direction and foundation for the values and management objectives of Strive Maintenance & Support and this Plan.
