Happy New Year
First and foremost, I want to thank you my patients who trust in me. Please know that I will always put you first before finances, KPIs, or anything else. I am committed to ethical, science-backed treatments that truly work.

Thank you to everyone who makes up this industry. Teoxane and all my colleagues who make it worthwhile and rewarding.

We achieved so much this year, including things I never imagined possible. We opened a new local clinic, completed our first cadaver course with Dr. Lucas, and were invited to events I once only dreamed of attending. I also had the privilege of attending educational conferences such as Aesthetics AU.

I assisted in launching a truly innovative, one-of-a-kind product, a moment I’m incredibly proud of, and a product I fell in love with along the way.

I had the opportunity to educate and collaborate with pioneers in the industry, and met inspiring new clinic owners and injectors entering the field.

We managed adverse events alongside AMET and established collaborations with Sydney Eye Hospital, important milestones in patient safety and care.

There was a time I thought I had lost my love for this industry. It felt increasingly messy, with regulators focusing on the wrong areas. But 2025 has reminded me of my resilience, my passion for people, and my commitment to health. Watch this space.

To my friends Aisling, Massimo, Lisa, Laurisa, Bridgette, and Mary, thank you for your friendship. It truly means the world to me.

Before the silly season takes place I just want to pop on and say a huge thank you to my patients for trusting in me and choosing .collective without my patients it would not be possible. I also want to thank and the Kairouz Family for all their assistance in setting up my new space in Summer Hill. Thank you to at for her unwavering support always on education through cadaver courses and the opportunity to launch the newest innovative product on the market, to all my colleague and friends in this ever changing industry for your support, leadership kindness and psychology sessions. **A quick anatomy lesson!**
Have you ever noticed those vertical neck muscles becoming more visible as you get older? You can actually activate them by making a “reverse smile,” or pulling the corners of your mouth downward. These visible bands are caused by the **platysma muscle** becoming more prominent with age.

As we age, the platysma can lose tone while the skin over it loses elasticity. This allows the muscle to separate slightly and appear as a visible “cord” or band. Genetics, repetitive facial expressions, sun exposure, and weight fluctuations can also make these bands more noticeable.

We carry a significant responsibility as educators in the cosmetic industry. It’s essential that we uphold integrity while also protecting and promoting patient autonomy, something that can too easily be compromised in this field.

Having medical professionals in the cosmetic space is crucial. We are guided by a strict code of conduct and a deep rooted obligation to act ethically and responsibly.

It’s also why I’m proud to be a faculty member with Teoxane, a company that places such a strong emphasis on education, not only within their own organisation but also in how they support their customer accounts. Our education department who over run everything education, is second to none, and I believe that’s something truly recognised and valued within the wider community.
