🚀4 steps to breaking your limiting thoughts!🚀
🧐Limiting beliefs are false beliefs that prevent us from pursuing our goals and desires. Limiting beliefs can keep you from doing important things, like applying for your dream job, getting healthy, or even taking time out for a holiday.
👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Here are 4 steps to helping you break your limiting thoughts!
1️⃣Ask yourself, “What If I’m wrong?”
Generally, limiting beliefs LOSE THEIR POWER as soon as we consider that they may not be true.
E.g. I'm too busy, I don't have time to learn a new language!
2️⃣Ask yourself, “How Is This Belief Serving Me?”
We adopt limiting beliefs because they serve us in some way. Usually, because they protect us from struggle or failure. Find out how your belief is serving you and ask yourself, is it really worth it?
E.g. My belief is leading me to believe that I am too busy (comfortable) to fit anything else in my schedule. Learning a new language is definitely worth the effort.
3️⃣Create Alternative beliefs
Write down some alternatives to your beliefs.
E.g. Can I potentially squeeze in a lesson once a week?
Can I sacrifice a dinner out to fit in a lesson?
4️⃣Test out your alternative beliefs.
Move things around or be ready to sacrifice less important things in your schedule. Test it out and see what works for you.
E.g. I've fit in a lesson by moving my evening activities around!
🧠👉🏽Remember, your mind will throw up roadblocks and try to make you take the path of least resistance. 😊Be mindful and prepared to break past!
