So many people don’t realise that the thoughts causing them the most stress aren’t facts, they’re distortions.
When your mind says things like
“Everyone judges me,”
“I always mess things up,”
or “Nothing ever works for me,”
your nervous system reacts as if it’s true… even when it’s not.
In NLP, this is called the Meta Model, a way of gently questioning the language your mind uses so you can come back into clarity instead of spiralling in assumption.
This isn’t about being positive or ignoring reality.
It’s about learning how to slow the story down, ask better questions, and separate truth from emotional exaggeration.
When the story changes, the body softens.
And when the body softens, new choices become possible.
