Do you need some body firming? I don’t know many people that would say no.

I had super wrinkled skin from pregnancy and weight loss that I just couldn’t smooth…. Until I started using BODY FIRMING FOAM.

Serious question… if it’s not daily or every other day it could be good to take a look at how much fibre you are eating.

🤔 Did you know that you need between 25/30g of fibre everyday to keep you regular?

🤔 Did you know fibre helps maintain healthy bowels?

🤔 Did you know it helps lower your cholesterol levels?

🤔 Did you know eating the right amount of fibre helps you live longer?

There are many great foods, that if you eat some of them everyday you will get enough fibre into your diet and it will be enough to get you to a daily goal of 25g.

Up until the age of 25 our bodies produce collagen naturally, but then the production starts to decrease (even more in women after menopause😳) HELLO! leading to wrinkles, sagging skin and yep, - YOU GUESSED IT - more joint discomfort!

The good news is... you can’t absolutely supplement, but do your homework because collagens are not created equal.

Firstly, you want a TYPE II collagen as that’s what’s going to cushion your joints and minimises joint discomfort.

Secondly, you want a collagen that is absorbable and clean. Powdered collagens are typically absorbed 13-15% at max 30%💯

I’m super picky about what goes into my body and the one I use and love is absorbed up to 93%, it’s non GMO plus is antibiotic/hormone free, and bio-optimised for rapid absorption. Plus it’s hydrolysed with a low molecular weight ..... aka it’s broken down to pure peptides that your body can absorb effectively.

THIS 👇🏻 is a picture of an aisle of collagen at a health food store - Everything here must be top notch right? 🤔 WRONG !!!!

Collagen has its own AISLE in stores now… why??? It’s everywhere! It’s in this cream, that powder, even in frozen meals!!! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Collagen is what your hair, nails, skin, bones, joints, eyes, etc are actually made of.
Your body is full of collagen when you’re born and starts to decrease after your 20s. 😳😳

After 30 not only do you produce less but the QUALITY of what you produce is worse. 👵🏼 This is why an old lady has wrinkles and joint issues. Its not because she is old, its because she lost her collagen !!!

That’s why everyone and their mum is looking for collagen and why every company is looking to sell you collagen.

✨There’s only one problem: Every single collagen product that you see pictured here is actually incomplete - if it was as easy as whipping up some powder then every one of our problems would be solved… but they’re not✨

Why?

1️⃣ These are all powders -:

Collagen is a large molecule. and because its a large molecule all of these companies are forced to put it in powder form. Because its a large molecule and because its in powder form, the absorption rate is very VERY low.
If there’s 20 grams of collagen per serving, a customer is likely aborbing 1-2 grams and thats giving the product A LOT of credit

2️⃣ These are also the incorrect type of collagen :-

The one I use is a Type 2 single source collagen while all of these pictured use:
- Plant based (doesn’t even exist, pure marketing)
- Bovine (ground up cow hooves 🤢🤮)
- Marine (what ocean? that matters… also I’m not a marine animal i want my collagen reflecting human tissues)

You and I have 0️⃣ genetic connection to a cow or a fish. We use a Type ✌🏼 collagen from a single source because chickens, dogs, cats, horses, AND humans all share the same collagen profile 🙀

Scientifically your body does not recognize bovine or marine collagen as its own. Your body sees these collagen powders as a foreign object.

Let’s talk ZOOM faces

Today I’ve been on calls most of the morning. It’s hard to not look at yourself … right? All those faces in little boxes.

It got me thinking that when I was younger and I had the best skin of my life and I covered it daily in make up, I didn’t even know what my hair looked like natural. It filled me with dread going swimming on holiday. I wasted so much time! Missed out on so many things.

👩🏻 For over 20 years I straightened my hair

💋I would wear foundation every single day

💄A red lip was my thing

I never dreamt that at 47 I would feel way more comfortable with my hair left to dry naturally and just a rub of blush.

I’ve got my glow on. I’ve got some of my collagen back and I have so much more time. I used to spend so much time straightening my hair and doing my make up.

My skin isn’t flawless …. Who’s is??? But it is strong and glowing. I’ve gotta say I didn’t think it would be this glowie at 47.

My skincare is very simple, just like me.

I wash my face, use serum and finish with moisturiser. Probably not much different to you?
