I'm Lauren Lee, a Clinical Naturopath + Yoga and Barre teacher who has been in the health and wellness industry for over 8 years. As a naturopath, my focus is upon providing evidence-based and individualised support for women and men with hormone imbalances, including:
* Women & men's reproductive health: menstrual irregularities, PCOS, endometriosis, low libido, erectile dysfunction, menopause, fertility
* Weight management: unexplained gain and/or loss, unable to change
* Fatigue: anxiety, depression, stress, brain fog, gut issues, thyroid disorders
* Insomnia: trouble falling asleep, frequent waking, going back to sleep

📝 Case report on Adult ADHD published in the June 2024 edition of the Australian Journal of Herbal and Naturopathic Medicine

This was a complex and interesting case that I took back in my final semester of student clinic at which highlights two key things:

1. Multidimensional and individualised healthcare is beneficial and needed for neurodivergent individuals who present with varied concerns ranging from hormonal, gastrointestinal, and cognitive. In this case, homeopathy was indicated in combination with herbal medicine and lifestyle modifications.

2. Research regarding homeopathy is limited let alone the methodology employed to determine remedy selection. This case report employs Polarity Analysis (which looks at symptoms and their opposites) via computational repertorisation which served to provide a more reliable means of remedy selection.

The growth and recognition of naturopathic and herbal medicine as a healthcare model is important to me and more importantly, serving my patients, so it is great to see the variety of emerging evidence in the industry!

this can be done whilst you await the results of your new blood tests, which we like look at in order to determine if your thyroid is functioning correctly, which of your female hormones are out balance, if your insulin levels are in check, and to rule out potential blood clotting disorders.

First publication as part of the World Naturopathic Federation Project - “The Role of Traditional Complimentary, and Integrative Healthcare (TCIH) Therapies and Practices in the Prevention and/or Treatment of COVID-19: An Umbrella Review”

Honoured to have worked with Randa Karzon, Andrew Jackson, Iva Lloyd, and Alexander Hall to specially review “The Role of Nutraceuticals in the Prevention and/or treatment of COVID-19: An Umbrella Review”

Key takeaways:
• the need for COVID-19 treatment remains significant, even after the development of effective vaccines
• of the nutraceuticals reviewed, probiotics, melatonin, NAC, and quercetin, which exert antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and immune modulatory characteristics have the greatest potential for benefit in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 and long COVID
• additional high quality RCTs with large sample sizes would help to determine their efficacy re: dosing and administration
