Charley is passioante about neurodivergent humans living their best lives and being supported in a neuro-affirming manner. Charley is a registered member of the ACWA and a student member of the DEIA.
All Charley's services are able to be paid via the NDIS for self managed or plan managed participants and are based in evidence based practice and the most recent research into neuro-affirming approaches and backed by neurodivergent advocacy that has taken place over the last decade. All services are provided by a neurodivergent facilitator/ educator as research shows that the best communication for neurodivergent people happens with other neurodivergent humans. All services are participant led and the participant's voice is paramount and guides what happens each week. Masking is not encouraged and participants are encouraged to interact as their authentic selves. Verbal communication is always optional and options for "no talking" sessions are available as a permanent or on the spot option. Skills are built and worked on to assist neurodivergent individuals to live in a world created for neurotypical people and capacity is built in resilience, emotional regulation, preparing for and dealing with change and in other areas in line with participants goals.
Research shows that a neurodivergent individual's special interests create a great pathway for engagement and learning so we incorporate your special interests where possible and completely involve the pariticpant in planning sessions and havng a strong voice in what they want their sessions to look like.
Services offered can be covered under the NDIS for plan managed and self-managed participants. All therapeutic services are currently well under the NDIS price guide recommendations at $125 - $150 for 1:1 services and from $40 for small group sessions.
