NBPSB provides a platform for para surfers to engage, mentor, and empower others in surfing. NBPSBC aims to be where champion Para Surfers are nurtured.

Through services and activities, it fosters a sense of community, promotes inclusivity, and raises awareness throughout the wider communities. Para Surfing, also known as Adaptive Surfing, is a rapidly growing sport that provides individuals with physical disabilities the opportunity to experience the thrill of riding a wave. Northern Beaches Para Surfer Boardriders Inc is envisioned as a non-profit organisation aimed at promoting & supporting para surfing activities. Northern Beaches Para Surfer Boardriders Inc aims to provide a platform dedicated for para surfers to engage and mentor others in the sport of surfing. Through its services & activities, the club aims to empower para surfers & create a positive impact on their lives by fostering a sense of community and to promote inclusivity by raising awareness in the wider community. This will then facilitate skill development & competitive opportunities for the para surfers. The NBPSB’s vision is to be a club that is fun & relaxed for those who may only wish to compete at club level. However, it will also provide an ideal pathway to National & International events and competitions. With the club's support, para surfers have the potential to build a strong competitive surfing career. All the while, making a serious impact on the surfers physical, mental, emotional & spiritual health. We are to be a serious part of their rehabilitation or therapy & in turn making a positive impact on their family, friends & other support crew who will also benefit.

FROM GRASSROOTS TO GREEN & GOLD! 🇦🇺💛💚

In 2022, the average age of the Aussie Para Surfing team was 40+. We founded NBPSB to change that—building a true grassroots pathway from a surfer’s first wave all the way to the World Para Surfing Championships and potentially the (stoked if that turns out to be Brisbane2032)!

Just look at 18-year-old Annie Goldsmith. Having already competed at THREE World Championships, she is absolute proof of what’s possible when young athletes get the support they need to thrive.
