And that's a wrap, folks! The 2025 school year has flown by in a whirlwind of laughter, tears, and slobbery kisses. We're talking about working with kids and animals - the ultimate recipe for chaos, but we wouldn't trade it for the world. Huge thanks to the awesome students, teachers, and admin staff for putting up with us. We're talking about the times we crashed your lessons, stole the show, and made everyone laugh. Massive shoutout to the THERAPuppy dream team - Georgia, Yvonne, and Genevieve. And last but not least, a gigantic thank you to our eight furry overlords - Jellybean, Mowgli, Wasabi, Crumpet, Luna, Pia, Ghost, and Akira - for spreading joy and slobber everywhere. Now it's time for you to put those paws up and enjoy a well-deserved break. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎅🏻🎄🎁🐶

Happy Therapy Dog Thursday! I’m so proud of our Mumma Bear, Akira. We ‘rescued’ her a year ago after the breeders could no longer keep her. We have two of her babies and know MANY people who have some of her babies also. When we adopted her, we had no expectations of her being a School Dog, only that she would have a safe and loving home to live out her days. At age 7, Akira went from being scared of people to working in schools and DEMANDING pats from everyone that passes her. She is the most gentle, loving and trusting pup I have ever come across. Just when you think she can’t get any cuter….she steps it up again. Each of our dogs have their style and calling. Akira’s specialty is looking right into your soul and looking fabulous in a dress while doing so! Knowing her past and seeing her future brings tears to my eyes on the daily.

Today is Mowgli's last day at WRPS for 2025!

He just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas, safe holiday and thank you for being so kind. His tail wags every visit at WRPS!

I’m a big boy now! Our (not so little) Crumpersaurus Rex turns 2 today! It has been a wild ride getting to this age. Crumpet you make us laugh, question our sanity and scratch our heads asking “you can’t be serious?” We love everything about your goofy personality and antics…although a few less bruises would be nice. Happy 2nd Birthday gorgeous boy!

Wasabi received this absolutely gorgeous card for his birthday from a student he spends time with at a school. People often ask “do we keep everything we get given by students?” The simple answer is YES!! We keep every drawing, card, note or doodle that students give us. They are the precious reminders of the connections we make with the beautiful students we encounter.

Happy Therapy Dog Thursday! Meet Ghost, the newest member of the team. He is following in is mum Luna, and sister Pia’s footsteps. He is full of love, energy and of course puppy kisses. At just over a year in age, he has taken his assignment seriously and lets everyone know that he their PFF (paw friend forever)
