On this day in 2000, Australia officially endorsed its first Nurse Practitioners, marking a pivotal moment in the evolution of advanced nursing practice in this country.
From those early trailblazers to the 3,100+ Nurse Practitioners now leading care across aged care, hospitals, primary care, and community health - we celebrate your clinical expertise, advocacy, and compassion.
This year’s NP Week theme, “Strength to Strength,” reflects the evolution of the profession and the growing impact Nurse Practitioners have on the health and wellbeing of our communities.
