The next Australian International Gender Economics Global Conference, the GGEC15 will be held at the University of NSW, city campus on 10 June of 2015. This will be an academic session with the major conference taking place every second year. The theme for the 2015 Conference is “Gender Economics, Innovation, Performance”. This Symposium will explore issues within the four major category definitions of Gender Economics;
Policy,
Investment and Economic Empowerment,
Environment and Sustainability and;
Innovation, Health and Wellness. Call for Papers
We welcome applications to present at the Global Gender Economics Symposium/ Round table, where academic papers will be shared and recent research activities on the emerging field of Gender Economics discussed. Academic’s will have an opportunity to present as well as review and comment on papers during the day. A further detailed review will take place at the conclusion of the conference and papers will be published online as an e-journal . The Call for Speakers and Academic Papers commences 4 February 2015
Discussions within these streams will focus on systemic gendered issues and their economic and business impact with the objective to provide tangible solutions that can be developed for implementation in our business environments. In this one day session we will focus on a limited number of areas as follows;
The conference will run over 2 days from 10-12 June 2015. Specific streams are currently in development, however they will address the economic impact on issues like violence against women/men, media (consumerism and marketing), Diversity Economics (organizationally), the economic empowerment of women through increasing their influence (Female Investment), and Environment and Sustainability.
