Forest Chiropractic Centre

Forest Chiropractic Centre Helping whole families live longer, better, happier lives. Our approach is simple. We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions. You’re the boss!

And while we generally meet people after they’ve lost their health, our commitment is two-fold:
1. Corrective Care
When many people seek care in our Forestville practice they have one goal: relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:
•Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
•Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible
•Offer simple lifestyle modifications you can adopt so you can actively participate in your recovery
•Explain value of post-corrective wellness care

2. Wellness Care
We encourage our practice members to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like health classes and our website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care and healthy lifestyle choices. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favour of the emerging wellness model. You’re in Charge
Regardless of your health goals, please understand that we see ourselves as mere servants. It’s your body, your health and your future. Our job is to offer you the finest chiropractic and wellness care possible, and it’s up to you to decide how much of it you want. Sound interesting? Please contact our Forestville practice to make an appointment.

The northern paralysis tick

Thanks to Australian parasitologist Dr Mackenzie Kwak for sharing this exceptional photo by nicole_andrews 👌🙏

“Ixodes holocyclus is the Northern paralysis tick of Australia and occurs throughout much of the coastline of eastern Australia.

Not only does it cause thousands of cases of paralysis each year in cats, dogs, and humans, but is also responsible for the emerging Alpha-gal syndrome in much of eastern Australia which causes those afflicted by it to become allergic to red meat!” explains Dr Kwak.

📌 And we’d like to add that there has been far too little research into the various pathogenic bacteria, viruses and parasites these ticks may transmit.

🔥 Reminder that Dr Kwak is leading Tick Science Alliance Australia (TSAA) - an exciting new collaboration bringing together leading scientists, the LDAA, and TICNA Tick-borne Illness Community Network Australia Inc to unite science and community to tackle tick-borne disease.

TSAA’s flagship Tick Observatory is a national citizen-science network where everyday Australians help collect ticks to build vital data on species diversity and prevalence. LDAA’s Sharon Whiteman recently spoke with Dr Kwak about TSAA and the current state of tick monitoring in Australia. Learn more at ticksciencealliance.au 🪲🌿

🎄 Grateful, Rested & Ready for the New Year 🎄

As the year winds down, I want to thank our incredible patients for prioritising their health and trusting us with their care throughout the year.

This Christmas season is a time to rest, reset, and reconnect — especially after a year that has reminded us how precious life, community, and looking after one another truly are. Taking care of your nervous system, your body, and your wellbeing has never been more important.

🤍 A simple reminder this season: be kind, be present, and look after one another.

📅 We’ll be closed:
Friday 19th December – Sunday 4th January
Back on deck Monday 5th January

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas, time with those you love, and a strong, healthy start to the New Year.

📣 Robert F Kennedy announced to the world today that the gaslighting of Lyme patients is over.

“For many years, this agency had a deliberate policy to refuse to engage with the Lyme community.” he said.

“National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Dr. Bhattacharya: “The idea that Lyme is an intractable condition, that patients are just making things up — those days are long gone. At HHS we are absolutely committed to making sure we do gold-standard science to address your condition.”

The contributions by clinicians, researchers, and Health and Human Services staff made clear that the old gaslighting narratives are indeed being replaced by openness, intensive and careful examination, by cutting edge science, advanced technologies and by collaboration between previously siloed specialties.

These specialists - in many different fields - are all determined to find answers, and treatments for patients.
