🧘♀️Mindfulness gets a lot of s**t for being woo woo.
But tell me, how can you give yourself what you need if you don't know what you actually feel?
I get it.
Still, a lot of the time I have to journal to understand what I am feeling.
I know I feel something, but I don't know what until I write.
And usually,
once I have got that out of me, I'm totally okay and move on.
That is instead of using food to numb, distract or avoid that feeling.
Here's the kicker.
Once you stuff yourself full of that food.
When you get to that point that your stomach hurts.
You can't even lie flat as you've eaten so much (👀 I see you)
The feeling or problem you were trying to hide from or avoid IS STILL THERE.
And the cycle continues.
So sorry not sorry, you NEED to find a way to manage what is happening with your feelings and emotions.
I know you don't want to but it is the only way you will stop that cycle.
