🎄 This festive season at Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT), we’re showing residents that Christmas wishes really do come true 🎄
For Fay, a beloved resident at our Caves Beach home, Santa arrived a little early. Her Christmas wish was simple yet deeply personal: to submerge herself in the revitalising salt water of the ocean once more. After a lifetime of swimming at the beach, health challenges had left her believing those cherished days were well behind her.
But with a touch of Christmas magic – and the kindness of our very own “Santa for the morning,” maintenance officer Steve Kloos – her wish was granted.
At Caves Beach, Fay swam and lay in the water with tears streaming down her face, saying: “All I wanted for Christmas was to swim in the ocean, now I know miracles do happen. I feel like myself again for the first time in years and am so thankful to everyone for making this happen, it’s incredible.”
This is just the beginning. Stay tuned as Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) continues to grant more heartfelt wishes for our residents throughout the festive season. Because while these wishes might not cost much to make a reality, they are truly priceless for those who receive them.
