Let me introduce you to Scott!
He came to me this afternoon complaining of shoulder restriction which he has had on and off for the past few years. As you can see in the first picture his restriction was severe on his left side due a diagnosed bursitis. After countless allied health appointments he allowed me to have a crack. Needless to say he was happy with the outcome

Do you wish you could create lasting change ?

Does this sound familiar? You join the gym with every intention of finally going after the change you want. finally becoming the person you want to be. The first 6 weeks go really well. The routine you adopt seems to keep you interested and you're enjoying how lose that pair of jeans has become.

But then life comes along and puts a stop to that routine. Other things become a higher priority, and your physical well being falls down the priority list. As time goes by you begin to justify to yourself that the original goal you set out to achieve has lost it's appeal. You start thinking "i should get back into the gym", "i don't know what to do" or my personal favorite "i don't have time to exercise". But ask yourself why you can't stick to a routine? why that once ambitious goal is suddenly a lost dream?

If you are sick and tired of not making lasting change for yourself come along to Anytime Fitness Jordan Springs on the 27th of October at 9am. This is a free event where we will help you to identify common issues and work through them together. please comment your name below to secure your spot. (Due to the space available it will be limited to 20 people)

A big shout out and congratulations to Daniel and Olivia for achieving their goal. They both started a few months ago with the aim of changing their body composition for their wedding day. They have both done very well and were a dream to coach. Dan lost over 10kg and gained a few kilograms In lean mass. Liv saw a big change in Muscle tone, so much so she is pictured here sporting a crop top and the Forever Health and fitness tights. I am immensely proud of these two and wish them all the best on their big day this week.

SHOULD I TRACK MY MACROS?

The short answer is yes, however lets put this into context. It's true what they say if you're not tracking and assessing you're just guessing. For optimal performance and or change in body composition tracking your macros will serve as a crucial tool.

In the initial stages of any weight loss journey people often show signs of high stress, poor sleep quality and low energy levels. So maybe getting them caught up in meticulous regimented methods of tracking their intake won't serve them very well early on. If anything it could add to their negative relationships with food and "diets". It also could be because like any new skill there is an acquisition phase and they haven't yet understood the processes.

Ive seen many clients fall off the gain train because of lack of nutritional compliance. To remedy this it is often more effective to give simple guidlines. Such as hand measurements and food lists. Give people a choice of the foods they enjoy, educate them on the importance of non processed food and food preparation.

Any change to lifestyle will be difficult to stick with but each approach should be individual and focused on compliance. Especially if they are a novice in the area. You wouldn't put a learner driver behind the wheel of a complex race car for their first experience. So it wouldn't make sense to overwhelm an already stressed and busy person with a complex nutrition plan early on. Stick the basics and form the habits and the changes will come.

If you feel overwhelmed by nutrition i encourage you to pm our page.
