Surviving a lot as a parent can all come down to a good coffee.
Obviously not literally, but boy does it go a long way in helping the day get a move along.
Exercise for weight loss is just like coffee and the surviving parent.
Not essential, but god does it help!
If you think about it in life, there are many things that we don't "need" but truly just make life a whole lot easier.
You want weight loss fast and easy right!
Regardless of your weight loss goal that you decided on yesterday, exercising is something you should be doing.
It will make your weight loss 10 times easier and the physical benefits you get along the way truly make up for all the potential discomfort.
"Nathan just tell me what I should be doing".
With fast and easy weight loss as your goal, you should be:
Walking 4-6 x 60 minutes per week.
Strength training 1-2 x 60 minutes per week.
When you are purely exercising for weight loss, doing something you can repeat is very important. Exercise and weight loss is all about getting your body to expand more energy out, and doing it consistently.
If you exercise too hard, or change it too frequently, you will be consistently riddled with soreness and fatigue, and there goes your chance of having your body burn a consistent amount of calories to help with the calorie deficit side of the equation.
Sure, you been busy with a long list of "to do's" each day, and an unfit body requires you to tailor this recommendation a little.
But in essence, this is what the general exercise goal should be.
"Your body is made to move".
Well maybe not yours right now.
But with the right attitude and work, it can.
"But Nathan you can lose weight without exercise"
Yes this is true, but why start your day without a coffee.
Why make something that is hard, even harder.
It just sounds miserable.
So what do you do now?
Dive into your diary, and allocate a certain amount of training that is easy to complete and easy to fit in with your diary.
Go for a walk.
Making it easy, will help you remove any excuse from completing it.
Although, I suppose if you want to find an excuse...
Sorry a "reason" to not exercise I am sure you will find it.
