The way you walk can quietly explain a lot about aches, pains, and future injuries:

1) Toes pointing in → often linked to hip or foot alignment (common in kids, not something to ignore long-term)

2) Toes pointing out → can overload knees and ankles over time

3) Heavy heel striking → hello heel pain, shin splints, plantar fasciitis

4)Rolling feet inward (flat/pronated) → extra stress on arches + inner ankle

5)Rolling feet outward (supinated) → less shock absorption, more pressure on the outside of the foot

Here’s the plot twist:
Your walk isn’t good or bad it’s just yours.

But understanding it early = less pain, better movement, and fewer “why do my feet hurt??” moments later.

5 things parents should check before term starts:

1️⃣ Shoe fit (again)
Kids’ feet grow fast. If there’s less than a thumb’s width at the toe, it’s time to size up. Tight shoes = pain, blisters, and funky walking patterns.

2️⃣ Heel wear
Look at the bottom of their shoes. Uneven wear can be an early sign of gait or alignment issues.

3️⃣ Arch support
Flat, floppy shoes might look cute but they don’t support growing feet. Structure matters more than style (sorry, kids).

4️⃣ Complaints you’ve brushed off
“If my feet hurt” is not just school avoidance. Heel pain, tired legs, or limping = worth checking.

5️⃣ Sock & toenail situation
Yep, boring but important. Tight socks, ingrown nails, or rubbing seams can cause bigger problems than you’d expect.
