It’s not that ‘protein’ magically makes something ‘healthier’ or ‘better’ - so why is every other product labelled with it?

It’s a buzzword - but for good reason. Protein keeps us fuller for longer, helps with recovery after exercise and aids with lean tissue growth. Did you know it also expends more energy to consume than other macronutrients?

But in our opinion, you should be getting the majority of protein from natural protein sources like meat, fish and eggs.

We understand that life isn’t always that simple and sometimes we’re eating on the go - so what about the convenience protein products? Are they worth the hype?

When I’m choosing a yogurt option - I’m opting for the one with a higher protein intake and that’s why I’ll choose this one over the others 👌

It also had added cultures in it so win win for your gut health 🤝

Protein does not give you energy. ❌

Well technically if you have no fat or carb stores it can be converted to energy but I assure you this is NOT an ideal situation for your body and overall wellbeing.

Carbs are the body’s preffered fuel source ⛽️ Protein is important but it is NOT a priority as a pre workout snack 🙅‍♀️

I talked about last week how your ‘dream body’ probably weighs more than you think.

And now I want you to think and reflect on WHY the scales fluctuate so much!

I really recommend focusing on the journey, process, habits and behaviours it takes to GET you to your goal - rather than fixating on the end result 🫡

Quick reminder - you’ve probably hit a goal weight in the past - but you couldn’t sustain it because you didn’t focus on the process and just the end result. Want a different result? Make a different choice 🙌
