One of biggest goals as a coach is preparing women for different life stages.

Majority of my clients are aged 30-50. Menopause is coming ladies and there’s no way around it.

While you may not be able to avoid it - hopefully with the right preparation you can reduce your symptoms. Strength training, eating enough calories and protein while prioritising sleep and stress management are all key lifestyle considerations to take into account as you age.

You’re never too young to start thinking about it 🤝

Here’s the truth - that influencers trying to sell you their meal plans or workouts won’t tell you 😶‍🌫️

No programme or nutrition plan works without consistency 🙅‍♀️

It is the basis for every single goal you have (not just health and fitness).

And it doesn’t take 6 weeks or 6 months or even a year. It’s a long term focus and should never end 🤝

Sure the intensity or the goal may change - and life happens - so maybe what you could do years ago is not the same as what you can do now. That does not mean you stop. You adjust, you pivot and you stay consistent 🤌

My training has changed over the years. But you know what hasn’t? I still train 5 times a week. Once upon a time it was 5 days of pitch sessions. Then, it adapted to 5 gym and pitch sessions. Then 5 Crossfit sessions. Then 5 intense CrossFit sessions. Now it’s a mixture of cardio, strength & yoga. But we still hit 5 sessions 🫡

Because that my friends - is consistency 👋

But you don’t need to keep removing foods - you should be focusing more on what can you add in 🥦🥝

There’s nothing wrong with having a weight loss goal - contrary to what ant dieters may make you believe. But WHY do you want to lose weight? Is it for a healthier version of yourself or just to get into your winter sun bikini? 🫣

There’s nothing wrong with dropping a dress size but are you willing to lose your period to achieve it? I hope not 🙅‍♀️

There is nothing wrong with having an external goal - but don’t sacrifice your internal systems to get there 😩 You can do both - in a healthy manner - you might just need to get patient 😝

It’s funny how your perception of ‘success’ changes 🤷‍♀️

I always thought I wanted to have a big business - coach as many people as possible, have a team working for me and make as much money as possible. All while sunning it up in Sydney.

But it led to overwork and overwhelm with no extra money at the end of the 60 hour weeks - just a chest full of spots 🤦‍♀️

Fast forward to now - I’m working my own hours (along with a few in the gym so I don’t go nuts - I do miss the people I worked with in Oz ❤️🙏) with less clients (who get more attention), making more money and in control of everything 🤌 I know my business can’t scale like this but I DON’T want or need it to. I’m happy and content exactly as it is 🤝

Ps It’s just me in the dms for the last year incase you’re wondering 😂 I know some people spotted I had a VA in Oz 🫣😂

I feel like social media and society these days has us forgetting about the basics 🫠

We’re obsessed with UPFs, ingredients & fear mongering online - all the while still drinking alcohol, not eating enough fibre and consuming little to no vegetables daily 🫣

Wake up and smell the roses - the basics are the foundation on which everything is built. After you’ve nailed the basics - worry about the guar gum.

Oh and while you’re at it - lift some weights. You may not ‘want’ muscle right now - but enjoy menopause without it 💁‍♀️

If you’ve been following me for awhile - you’ll know - all I will be doing from tomorrow morning is reseting 🤌

That starts from today:
✅ Food shop
✅ Focusing on protein and colour
✅ Bucket loads of water
✅ Clean house = clear mind

I will also probably get a little probiotic as I’d say my gut is not happy with all the alcohol and it’s very obvious it’s not used to it 🫠 I need to get back training but I may have a little infection on my foot so I need that to sort itself before forcing myself back into it 🙃

What a week - that one is imprinted on my mind forever 🫶🫶🫶🫶

Here’s a video I did back in January about why I don’t regularly eat protein bars - and it has nothing to do with false accusations of them ‘causing cancer’.

I had a client recently who was suffering with flatulence and severe distension and the root of it was a clean protein bar which contains chicory root fibre - which was causing her gastrointestinal distress.

I actually love that people are being more aware of the foods they’re eating - a old client said to me recently - Amanda you were so ahead of the game - you thought me that years ago. Nope I’m just educated on nutrition and want to help and inform people of what they’re putting into their body.

From time to time - if I’m not prepared or I’m travelling or I’m super busy - I’ll pick up a protein bar. Otherwise - I’m sticking with my natural sources 🤌
