Celebrating Education at the Wits Gala Business Lunch!

Our founder, Sheron Sultan, had the honour of serving on the Gala Committee for the Wits Australia Foundation—a rewarding six months of purpose, collaboration, and community.

On 28 November 2025, Wits alumni and friends gathered at the Fullerton Hotel in Sydney to celebrate our shared heritage and support education. Generous contributions raised funds for the Postgraduate Scholarship and Bursary Fund, bringing us closer to providing 10 scholarships in 2026—helping students access world-class education and opportunities that shape future leaders.

We had the privilege of watching an incredible performance by the Aboriginal Dance Company at the Town Hall. The event began with a powerful Welcome to Country, reminding us of the importance of culture, respect, and connection to Country. You could see the pride, joy, and confidence shining through in their speech and movement — a truly inspiring celebration of culture and identity. ❤️🖤💛

Children had an amazing time at the HomeWorld Oran Park Expo — learning, laughing, and exploring future careers from building and investing to firefighting, sport, and innovation. 💡👷‍♀️

Hello Term 4 — we're ready to end the year with a bang!

This term, we're focusing on building meaningful relationships — not just with others, but with ourselves.

From physical activities, healthy habits, dealing with bullying and peer pressure, and navigating social media, to giving back through community service...

That’s right — these are the ingredients we need to show love to ourselves. We fill our own glass so we can pour into others.

We may cry together to show we are human and break down walls together — but we will rise together.

At Yatimba!, we help students in underserved schools improve wellbeing, resilience, and confidence through movement, connection, and cultural expression. What started small has grown into a program empowering young people to lead, belong, and thrive.
