Donโt let the phone take up your headspace, use the phone to set the timer to create time to clear your head, with reflection and meditation time! No distractions, sitting and dwelling in contemplation is ideal as a coping mechanism in todayโs busy world.
When we keep it simple, practice this lost art form of watching time go by, we get to experience the richness and vastness of presence. In that deep space of time, one may experience nuggets of wisdom from within. We often look outside of ourselves for the insight, future direction, answers to life on its imprinted set of circumstances. Trust that your greatest truest news broadcast is; when you connect to the divine or that of your own divine essence!
Holding space for your self, as a honoured practice is important to keep grounded and ready for what lays ahead each new day. When you create a practice of contemplation by e.g. meditation, prayer, journalling, mindfulness in stillness or movement or any kind of morning ritual. It is an opportunity to be reminded of who you are, the vast connection to something greater and the interconnectedness to others and all.
Start your practice today! Perhaps aim to start your day by setting your phone timer for 5 minutes, creating a quick and easy space for reflection. Observe how your concentration levels are, then build from there progressively adding on 5 minutes at a time, each new weekly session, depending on your morning commitments. Invest this small amount of time in yourself, I promise you it will be worth it! โYesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. Thatโs why we call it the present.โ ~ Winnie the Pooh.
