This week we farewell our CEO, Stephen Doley, as he concludes his time with Challenge Community Services.

Stephen has led Challenge through a period of growth and transformation, strengthening the organisation while keeping the people, families and communities we serve at the centre of every decision. We thank him for his leadership, integrity and commitment to purpose.

As Stephen steps into his next chapter, Julie May has commenced as Acting CEO, ensuring continuity as Challenge continues to deliver services and progress key strategic priorities.

We wish Stephen every success and thank him for the positive legacy he leaves behind.

Earlier in the month, our team had the privilege of being part of a free community event hosted by Women's Shelter Armidale to unveil the 'Clothesline Project'. 👕

The Clothesline Project is a visual display of t-shirts featuring the names of women and children who have lost their lives to domestic violence this year. It is a powerful reminder of how far we still have to go to eradicate gender-based violence in our communities.

As we come to the end of the year, I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who has been part of our community in 2025 — our dedicated team members, collaborators, supporters, and the individuals and families we walk alongside every day.

This time of year is a powerful reminder of the importance of connection. Take time to be with loved ones, check in on one another, and stay connected to our communities. These moments of care and togetherness are at the heart of the work we do and the values we share.
