Skin needling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is one of my absolute favourite modalities , but timing is everything.

Before we roll that gorgeous little device across your skin, we need to make sure your barrier is healthy, hydrated, and functioning beautifully. Think of it like this: you wouldn’t renovate a house if the foundations were cracked — you’d repair and stabilise first. Your skin deserves the same respect.

So, when do we include skin needling?
🤍After we’ve restored barrier integrity.
🤍 When inflammation is calm and stable.
🤍Once your homecare is aligned and supportive.

Why you might need to wait:
💧 If your skin is dry, reactive, or inflamed (hello barrier dysfunction).
🩸 If you’re on certain medications like isotretinoin.
🌞 If you’ve had excessive UV exposure or recent peels/lasers.
🧴 Or… if we simply need to strengthen your skin first so it responds beautifully instead of defensively.

Once your skin is ready, needling becomes a transformational step , stimulating collagen, refining texture, fading pigmentation, and restoring that luminous, bouncy resilience we all love.
