Let’s be clear about what Movementum is.

We’re an occupational therapy practice dedicated to making safe, quality care possible through practical moving and handling training, consultation and clinical support.

Training [our primary focus] — working with care organisations across NSW to build their teams’ confidence and capability. In-person sessions, open courses, accessible learning options.

Consultation — supporting iCare case managers, therapists and care providers navigating complex care situations.

Clinical services — moving and handling assessments, equipment guidance and OT support for funded care arrangements. This work keeps us grounded in the realities of home care.

Resources — educational materials, practical guides, training support that extends beyond the session.

What ties it together? Safe work, quality care. We genuinely believe both matter equally, and our entire service model is built around supporting everyone involved in the care journey.

Every organisation has different clients, different equipment, different challenges. Every support worker brings different experience levels and learning needs.

That’s why Movementum training flexes.

Foundation skills for new support workers? Refresher sessions for experienced teams? Client-specific training for complex care situations? We adapt to what you actually need — working with your equipment, addressing your policies, focusing on the scenarios you’re navigating.

Large team training, small groups of 2-3 support workers, individual coaching for challenging cases — we do it all.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll notice our brand evolving to better reflect who we’ve become and where we’re headed. This isn’t about changing what we do; it’s about clearly showing the breadth of moving and handling training, resources and consultation we now offer across NSW.

Our commitment remains the same—safe work, quality care for everyone involved in the care journey. What’s changing is how we share that with you, making our training more accessible and our support more comprehensive.
