But we have to give them a system – including buildings and budgets – that matches their commitment and their passion.

So I want to make a promise to every single Victorian working in our mental health system:

The decades of under funding, false commitments and band-aid solutions have ended.

And as we work together to rebuild our broken system – we'll stand beside you, listen to you, and always support you.

Our healthcare workers have been vital in supporting Victorians get through this pandemic.

But being on the frontline of a health crisis can undoubtably take its toll – physically and mentally.

That's why we're launching a new virtual support centre tailored to healthcare workers.

It will mean that all healthcare staff will have access to high-quality resources – no matter where they live or which shifts they work.

Programs will be designed based what workers tell us they need - and access will be completely free.

Even before the virus reached us - our healthcare teams across the state worked day in and day out, to care for us when we've needed it most.

We need to do the same for them.
