Thank you Stanthorpe Cheese 🧀 we loved visiting & tasting your delicious Cheese. We’ve even stocked up on our family’s favourite Stanthorpe Inferno Chilli sauce 🌶🔥 We love supporting these amazing businesses and although you didn’t have any for us to try, we can’t wait to come back for the Blue Cheese & Soft Cheese in 6 weeks! Mon Repos Turtle Centre is a beautiful place. Even though it wasn’t Turtle season, we enjoyed learning about how important it is to reduce our footprint in order to protect these incredible ocean reptiles 🐢 🌊 🌍 All ability, companion card accepted and perfect for the whole family, we highly recommend visiting Mon Repos Conservation Park. Overall Experience: 7 out of 10

With an endangered species assignment at school, it’s the kick we needed to get back into our Holidays. 4 months is too long, and we cannot wait for our Bundaberg trip to Mon Repos Turtle Centre. Stay tuned for an exciting new place, we haven’t visited since 1998 🐢

Snorkeling with in the Outer Great Barrier Reef in Port Douglas was one highlight to our trip. It was amazing & so much fun, even for Lauren who has Selachophobia (fear of sharks). The water was beautiful, and it was incredible to see the ocean at a new perspective. The tour can be booked directly from or onboard the Pacific Dawn . It is a full day, & includes morning & afternoon tea, as well as a buffet lunch (lunch was very average). It also includes all gear & protective wear for snorkeling. We also had a 30min delay due to engine failure, which was very disappointing having missed 30mins of snorkel time without any compensation. Price point, it is expensive, but we had an incredible experience & it was definitely a day to remember ☀️ Overall Experience: 7 out of 10 @ Outer Reef (The Great Barrier Reef)

Happy 12th Birthday Cameron! It was an amazing day already just waking up on the Pacific Dawn. Then a catamaran to Port Douglas, somewhere we have never been before. Playing in the park with little Brother Nathan & cousins Liam & Finn. Then a Steam train ride with before heading back to the ship for more celebrations. What a way to celebrate a 12th Birthday 12/2/2020 🎂 @ Port Douglas

Happy 18th Birthday Jess! Our holidays wouldn’t be the same without your fun loving & hilarious sense of humour. have delivered quite the eventful birthday! We started off the day upgrading Jess’s cruise card to an adult, & made our way via tender to Yorkeys K**b to take a quick photo. Our catamaran return trip to the ship started drifting out to sea due to engine failure. Thank goodness the air conditioning wasn’t affected 😂 after about an hour we were back enjoying lunch. And continued the rest of the evening with birthday celebrations. We just love travelling in a big group & although Yorkeys K**b isn’t all that exciting, we couldn’t have had a more celebratory day for Jessica 🎂🛳 🥂 @ Yorkeys K**b, Queensland

We just love these days, we wake up, we know we’re at Airlie Beach, but we have nothing on. Yesterday was one of those Days ☀️ After a little sleep in & breakfast at the Pantry onboard. We made our way to Port of Airlie & walked the 600m along the water front to the Lagoon for a swim. Apart from the crazy hot day, Airlie Beach was beautiful! We really appreciated the water & face towel stand provided by at the port but was a little disappointed the water was empty after our hot walk back from the lagoon ☀️ @ Airlie Beach, Queensland

With our cruise fast approaching, we’ve decided to have a weekend at home. And took a day trip to Hercules Park Hamilton. Beautifully hot day, the kids had a great time running through the park’s water play feature. Pet friendly & heaps of open space, it seemed like a winner. However: Parking was an absolutely nightmare with some of our party having walked 1km from their car to the Park. Plenty of disability parking free for accessibility. Not nearly enough shade with more than half of the tables in the sun, kids & parents squeezing under small shade clothes, the palm trees planted will never provide shade. The playground was all concrete & dark soft fall which was way to hot for the kids & dogs to walk on. 4 unisex toilets available, 1 with accessibility & change table but no toilet paper in any of the stalls. Overall Experience: 3 out of 10! Not worth the trip in its current state. Brisbane City Council
