Today I watched a pair of galahs foraging on dandelions on the grounds of St Catherine’s — bright, playful, and completely in tune with what they needed.

What a lovely way to start the week - a heartfelt review from client - we worked on a signature blend that had a very specific purpose, a blend that is more than just a nice smelling scent. It is powerful, it becomes a part of one’s daily spiritual ritual.

“I wasn’t looking for this scent… it found me in the middle of an ordinary day.”

Blue Tansy essential oil unexpectedly caught my attention today from the hundreds of oils I have in my oil cabinet.
I had even forgotten i had it. Waiting for me…..on an ordinary Thursday afternoon.
Something made me reach for it … fell in love instantly…the deep blue hue, the fragrance…so captivating
Slightly powdery, crisp, sweet licorice/anise, camphorous and balsamic at the same time …complex aroma - it was an instant mood lifter, comforting and uplifting - healing.
Then I remembered- it has anti histamine properties. Perfect for Spring allergies!
Like a message from heaven - blessings come when you are not striving, not looking …from the least unexpected places.

As a natural perfumer, I’ll guide you in crafting your own solid perfume — a blend of sacred botanicals inspired by Ayurveda wisdom and monastic rituals.

This intimate workshop (4–6 guests) at The Block Arcade is more than perfume-making — it’s a chance to experience the essence of Christmas. You’ll create your own solid perfume using sacred botanicals like frankincense, myrrh, galbanum and onycha along with spices, citrus and woods, blending fragrance as a form of reflection and blessing.

Each jar is a personal treasure — a gift for yourself or a loved one, carrying the calm, joy, and sacred spirit of the season.
